  • Victor Wooten is unbelievably good. One of the best bass players in history. Ever.

  • This guy can apply more tasks than my computer.

  • Comment removed

  • Dayummm, my heart almost stopped and I became all green when he took his Fodera out for a spin.. Wooten, you still amaize me..

  • I actually consider this to be one of his easier songs! But he is an amazing Musician!

  • victor is great

  • how can he sing while playing this ?

he must have really trained alot to separate the playing and the singing, i mean espacielly for something that require this rythme precision and groove ....

    his brain is awesome !

  • @saumonnn it's amazing, i think it's because he's playing a pattern as he sings, but my god, i couldn't even dream of playing this without vocals ><

  • I think he writes the lyrics on purpose for that effect. He writes funny lyrics to compliment his funky bass line. Victor's an intelligent man and if he wanted to, he could probably write a serious song

  • I love this song hell yeah Victor Wooten Do that FUNKY thing you do alright!!!

  • LOL!!! AMAZING!!! HAHA

  • love this!

  • Me and my bass guitar ! ! ! !

  • Wooten is the bomb

  • EARGASM!!! I nearly learnt to play this then i stopped, i will probably try again soon

  • @LKLNinja I can now play it! woo!

  • he is amazing i just learned Master Blaster by stevie wonder and i think ill learn this next that flip was awsome too

  • singing and playin is so hard, wow he was already untouchable

  • awsomE

  • 5 starts just for that flip.

  • music is no about what the lyrics says it's about groove :-) listen the whole package not the surface stuff only.

  • ME AND MY BASS GUITAR!

  • COOOOOOL!!!

  • that wooten guy... has a fucking groove...

    he is really something.

  • amazing and unreachable? yes...

  • Yeah i don't think Victor will be remembered as the best lyricist of out time. There ok but like "i saw god" gets old. Instrumentals are his strong suit undoubtedly. Love wooten anyway got all his albums and BF&TF

  • lyrics dont make music, they are a complement to it. instrumentals make real music...

  • Dunno why you got -5 for this, you're 100% correct.

  • vic is my hero

  • vic is awsome but the lyrics is mad corney

  • no man this whole song is great

  • It's funk music, what else do you expect? It's kinda part of why it's good.

  • I spell Victor like this - F U N K Y

    PEACE!!!!

  • Gotta love the studio version.. He's a one man band^^

  • I love this guy.

And I think his lyrics are great, and funky. People sing with meaning, and about world events, and Victor sings about playing his bass =P

    Kudos to him. Good song

  • dont you think singing about his bass has a good meaning too? "you'll see a house full of nothing, just my four strings and me".

i prefer that to some lyrics that only say "i love you baby bla bla bla" =P do you?

  • lol sounds like a cnn reporter

  • Playing: above any normal human understanding

    Lyrics: just freakin' sucks!!

  • 21 is insane

  • this is freakin insane, try and play that for starters, then sing over the top!

  • this guy is amzing

  • I love this fucking bassist

    I love this song \../

    victor wooten rulez ever

  • jajajj

    genial el tema jaja

  • im Vic too :D but i cant do a spin :(

  • el pendejo de abajo duh es porq usa un delay

  • You're completely correct but people are going to bury you because they think they're cultured and you aren't. Bearing in mind that Janis Joplin had a horrible voice but I still loved her music, you can be amazing at one aspect of music and completely suck at another. Victor can't write, but he can play.

  • actualy these guys are kinda right.... he does kinda blow at making lyrics

  • I'm in love with Victa since I was 20 years old :P

  • Victor Wooten is a bass god best bass player living :D

  • It probably got better, but was cut off early

  • i duno, i love victor and he wouldnt be who he is without his brother...but i really dont like regis guitar playing

  • I cant believe that he was in Lithuania. How could I miss this?! Damn...

  • hes amazing!!

  • Custom Fodera, with his own Fodera brand signature strings.

  • what bass does he use?

  • you are the one who is gay

  • this is lame but sweet and not gay

  • he hammer ons the main notes with the left hand, taps the chords on the 19th and 16th fret with his right hand and thumbs and plucks the dead notes

  • the greatest

  • People write cheesy love songs so I guess this could be a certain type of love song...to an inanimate object lol

  • awesome i EVEN LIKE HEARING HIM ON THE MIKE

  • AH AHA DUDE That was awesome, the bass swinging.

I can't afford to try that move =(

  • is it just me or does the bass carry on while hes not moving his hands? i love this guy and dont slag me off, i just noticed it carried on (im not accusing, anyone who does is gay)

  • I believe he's just tapping the notes and not picking them..

  • ya like hammer-ons

  • yea, all the main notes of this song are bass taps with his left hand.. whenever hes using his right hand, hes just playing the dead notes

  • Incorrect, he is playing each and every note by utilizing a down and up thumb technique. It sounds a lot like dead notes when it isn't and like real notes when it is dead notes.

  • Hmmm, nevermind, maybe he is tapping all of em. But I thought how he says "I'm gonna play my bass without using a pick" refers to his most famous double thumb technique??

  • i think you are right there, but i think his double thumbs are much softer than the notes he is playing in this pice. but however, this is song is so great i love it

  • what? dude he's using a lot of dead notes utilizing the muted g string and his double pop technique. the rest is all left hand tapping and then the 16th and 19th frets are being tapped in time with the B

  • hes not srumming the notes hes tapping them

  • yei:D hes tapping:)

  • wooooooooooow yea wooten... negro kliao

  • he always looks cool with his fodera!

  • it was better without the other instruments.. still kicks ass though.

  • lolz vic's gone all hXc with guitar swings

  • i here were your comming from with the bad lyrics but his bass skill is immence

  • what are you guys talking about? the lyrics are cool.

  • the lyrics are cheesy and simple becouse this song was made out of improvisation...

  • it's all about the bass dude.

  • LEARN GRAMMAR

  • Victor is a groove master! His brother Joseph is on the keys. That dude could fall on his keyboard and it would be musically valid! No wrong notes there! Reggie is also an incredible musician. The whole family is phenomenal!

  • it's not about the lyrics, it's about the groove

  • i never said it was about the lyrics...

i just didnt like it xP

  • Ikester is right, its about the groove.

and victor wooten lacks no groove... especially with this song.

  • nice..nice..

  • I think

That this song sounds better without drums or organ

the organ doesnt seem to know what key hes playing in

  • Considering that it is the Victor Wooten Band, and considering that Victor Wooten is one of the most predominant bass players, I don't think that the attention is going to be on the guitar player. But Reggie (Victor's Brother) is a pretty funky guitar player.

  • damn i wish there was more of that guitar solo but that was still kick ass
