I think he writes the lyrics on purpose for that effect. He writes funny lyrics to compliment his funky bass line. Victor's an intelligent man and if he wanted to, he could probably write a serious song

You're completely correct but people are going to bury you because they think they're cultured and you aren't. Bearing in mind that Janis Joplin had a horrible voice but I still loved her music, you can be amazing at one aspect of music and completely suck at another. Victor can't write, but he can play.
