  • Mother fucking Radical! Awesome and Holy Shit fucking spectacular! yep I looooove it!

  • Such a great song!

  • Night of the demos brought me here! Good movie btw

  • @iiCookieMonsterx it brought me here to! and yes i love that movie..watched it on Netflix!!!

  • would've loved to hear pete steele cover this!

  • @LetsGoMetsGo33 yeah...cept he's dead now :***(

  • Johnette is intense. Love her voice. Saw them in a small club once. Excellent.

  • Mmmm greate song. And gorgeus woman. It's a pitty when you understand that you haven't even been born when this was recorded

  • I just remembered this band in there day they were great!

  • check out cover by blitzkid if you have a taste for punk...

  • never thought about it before but she Does have a very sexy nose.

  • >not a "vampire"

    >not a faggot

    Good song!

  • My dad tells me about this song once in the car listening to it and he says "she has the SEXIEST noce ever !" im like woahh nelly now your getting into noses XD

  • blitzkid.

  • Oh man i forgot about this song . Its incredible and yes her voice is amazing !

  • AND before anyone starts getting mad - YES, I know 'Moon over Bourbon Street' was written AFTER 'Interview' - I'm just saying that just because it mentions something about N.O. in this song, it's not automatically referencing Anne Rice. Get a clue people - sometimes a writer has an idea that independent of the way too popular mediocre writings of a now born again Christian. Oh, yeah - you probably know nothing about that, do ya?

  • LOL@ someone thinking this is an homage to Anne effing Rice... New Orleans has a rich history of being the location of vampire stories, songs, etc - WELL BEFORE Anne Rice wrote a halfway decent book. Ever heard of 'Moon Over Bourbon Street'? People really ought to think more before typing idiocies like that.

  • this could like be peter steels wife XD

  • what comment could they make

  • @iNickOwens I hear ya man ...this is some good shit...not gonna do the twitter...but I have always loved this voice...exactly from the fist moment I heard it...hard to forget! I only wish I had it on CD all cassettes...lol

  • I feel like someone could make a gnarly fan made video for this using 'Interview With a Vampire'

    such a sick song

  • @xEnder686x ANd the lyrics are an homage to Interview With The Vampire and Anne Rice, with the reference to New Orleans.

  • I can't put my finger on which one, but didn't White Zombie do a song that sounded almost just like this?*****Just went through my MP3's, it's Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpse. I do believe Rob ripped this off a bit.

  • I'll be at the Anne Rice "Theater of the Vampire Ball" Oct. 28th in NOLA...oh yeah!

  • after all these years , I always thought it was a guy singing. but now seeing the video. thats clearly not the case lo

  • If she was not gay I would stalk her and make her my wife ; )

  • I heard this song in a bar last night here in Chicago, God its incredible!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @REMCUREBOY Neo or Nocturna? ;)

  • love this song and love New Orleans!

  • Thank you Concrete Blonde! This song was the nebulous to the creation for a song made for my first animation short.

  • When I hear this song I always think of the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac. When is roams the streets of new orleans :D

  • Didnt Rob Zombie a verson of this song?

  • did Concrete Blonde do more songs like this? I can't listen to it enough!!!! XD

  • A Vampire Confesses . com '>=E""

  • The song would make more sense than some of the music they've played at the end with credits. If it weren't for vampires Bill, Eric, (and I think Russell Edgington has risen from the concrete for next season)....there would be no series.

  • Been going to The Dock for 4 years now....so I've heard this song over 200 times lol

  • BLOODY AMAZING SONG.

  • love dancing to this song!

  • Dark hunter series, Sherrilyn Kenyon

  • i miss Concrete Blond great band ,great songs

  • This song unfortunately didn't make the cut in 'Interview with a Vampire"

  • I'd love to hear this in HBO's True Blood.

    Awesome Song ! - Great Music !

  • @suze816 me to man

  • @suze816 fuck no, true blood sucks

  • @LadyMorose666

    To each his own.

If you don't like TrueBlood no one said you had to watch it.

  • @suze816 The song wouldn't make overall sense with true blood. the song is about vampires, not wolves and faeries and whatever else goes on in that show. just saying.

  • @LadyMorose666 True Blood ain't too bad as long as you watch it all in one go and then forget all about it.

  • one more comment....would love to hit new orleans on a full moon dressed in 1790's gear with an endless goblet of red wine...seeing for the first time with my vampire eyes....!!

  • this is real 90's vampira......to hell with 12 yr old twilight teen bubble gum era!!

  • @EnigmaOnThe5th

....i hate how vampire lore got swallowed by lame twilight "hunk" movies geared for 12 yr old girls. Toss me some anne rice, a stormy night, some candles on a candelabra...and spiced rum in front of the fire....

  • @EnigmaOnThe5th its a shame anne rice became such a hipocrite and turned her back on her fans to write jesus propaganda...badly

  • @darkpoet03021980 maybe jesus saved him self from katrina.

  • Imagine Johnette and VV being a duet for a song about vaudeville snake candy

  • This is such a GREAT CD. Tomorrow Wendy & Joey are the best written songs!!! Well done. So glad my boyfriend turned me on to this!!!

  • one of my fave albums.... :) love this

  • 5 people are alan jackson fans

  • She looks like a young Anne Rice.

  • "THE VAMPIRE SONG"

One of the best albums ever (IMO)

  • whats so addicting about this song. its not that good.

i like ministry work for love better.

  • anyone else notice how she's doing the one eye two finger thing?? so much for lady gaga being SO original...(i still love gaga) LOL

  • Oh yeah!

  • *i'm addicted to this song*

  • agree completely with mattdogggg :D love this band

  • Coin toss... For first baby's name... Heads, Caroline. Tails, Johnette.

    Sorry Johnette. :)

  • Goddamn she's sexy!

  • This song would go extremely well on True Blood.

  • i heard this song on a podcast then in the remake of night of the demons. i'm so glad to finally find out who it is! awesome song!!

  • tweenpires suck.

  • this is my song

  • music today sucks she is a real artist

  • I call it "The Concrete Blonde" genre;)

    No others like them<3

  • Every album is a work of art. I've listen to Concrete Blood since 1989.

  • Every album is still fantastic musically and lyrically.

  • a great song from a great album by a great band......Concrete Blonde deserve better and more credit than they get....

  • avampireconfesses . com

  • VAMPS RULE!

  • this song was in the first episode of Beavis & Butthead :) 101a blood drive:)

  • Sooo hot!!!

  • I love concrete blonde, some people's minds are too narrow to enjoy really good music, this is a really good song, I'm not sure who did it but some one recently covered it for the Night of the Demons remake

  • The Blitzkid version is better to me. This one is still great though.

  • One of the best bass lines ever.

  • I like the out there solo. Restrained and a bit obnoxious for the chorus-use. But it works. The same way the whole song does.

  • Great song, amazing atmosphere to it. Reminds me of an Anne Rice novel, most likely cliche, but oh well, truth & Life usually is.

  • I think it's super stupid for people to censor the comments. Delete that!

  • It's good

  • I heard this song in the movie " Night of the Demons (2009 film) I had to listen to it again. Good song!

  • I love vampire metal and wow everyone listen to Rob Zombies song house of 1000 corpses and he ripped off this riff ahahaha love rob zombie though

  • Thank you for good hard core music!!!

  • i got a lot to think about OH YEAH!

  • Recently saw them do this at Webster Hall about 6 months ago. Johnette is still sexy hot! They opened with this.

  • I used to love this band ...fuck still do. WHAT?!?!

  • One of the greatest female vioce ever. One of my favorite albums.

  • Surprise! It is a great song!

  • Great song, I listened to it as part of the whole album and it just flowed with the rest of the album. Dont label it with Anne Rice or Vampires. Just Let if Flow....

  • I absolutely love this song! I used to lap dance my co-workers at Spencer Gifts to this when it came on for our Halloween Muzak CD. It never gets old and is such a highly underrated Halloween anthem and absolutely great to strip to! For those of us more darker souls residing here on Earth, we think about the underground world - fetish clubs, strip bars, etc and how this song can play a huge factor in honoring the patrons who go to said establishments.

  • genre doesn't matter. do you like it or not? Whether it's county+western or acid house is pretty friggin' irrelevant.

  • God she looks so much like Anne Rice, when Anne was like 25. I love it!

  • @charlottevard Agreed she really does, Anne Rice is by far my fav author

  • @tim101482 Anne does rule! :)

  • My favorite Concrete Blonde song. I always request this song when I'm at a goth club.

  • You 5 ppl DARE dislike this song? The vampire's gonna get you

  • female Danzig

  • this is true darknees in its prime.umm

  • I'm with MsVampirells1 on this one. This was when it was still real. When vampires couldn't walk in the light, were beautifully ugly and weren't re-written for someone's twisted wet dream.

  • Thank you for posting the actual video!

  • Awesome song hard to believe it's 20 yrs old! Loved it then love it now so sad they have retired would LOVE to see them.

  • Awesome! Florence and the Machine's "Howl" totally has the same sexy, dangerous romance thing going. Fantastic!

  • Check out KREEP they did a killer cover of BLOODLETTING

  • This was the Night of the Demons remake end song! :O)

  • I also wish there had been a "Sky Is A Poisonous Garden" video preceding this wonderful clip. Imagine her dancing out in the garden as the stars above shine down below.

  • Notice how the spider hides from the "li..i..ight" when she's singing it @ 3:46

  • i love this song

  • Check out their version of Leonard Cohen's Everybody Knows- its one of my favorites.

  • she's a singer_

  • Johnette Napolitano is a great singer/songwriter and frontwoman. Thanks for posting this song!

  • Love Her, Love this Song. Love Vampires. Hate Twilight.

  • @mattdogggg I won't let my kid make ANY references to twilight at all...if she wants to talk vampires, i show her the good stuff i grew up with

  • @txmomoftwo1 yesssssss..

  • Not a huge Concrete Blonde fan but I like this song.

  • I can not think of one bad song on this entire album. One of my all time favorites!

  • @woody6975 Absolutely right on that one. This was back when people bought CDs and found other songs to love.

  • @woody6975 AGREED!
