MyersJoshP: I don't know if this is the specific arrangement you're looking for, but you can get this song and the learning CDs for all four parts from Harmony Marketplace. Do a websearch on Harmony Marketplace, and when you get there, enter "battle hymn of the republic" in the search window.
This is one song of many in the Songs Of Inspiration Songbook and on the learning CDs that accompany it.
I'm impressed so much with the singing the fervernt patriotism is cute? America Americans are a fantastic nation but ya just gotta admit Australia is the greatest nation on earth? or take it to the Melbourne Cup Steward's room for a photo nose hair finish or just agree we both are the greatest nations in sharing freedom?
Song is beautiful, performance even better. Breathtaking. Even so, i do not like this modern representation of "industrial" freedom forced on others through war and propaganda, so i find this song and all her's beautiful ideas and ideals somewhat pale and staled. I am pretty sure that the founders of the nation did not have "replace tyranny with tyranny" on their minds when freeing their people. I am not American, but i too tasted their "justice" on my own skin. I now this is off the topic, sry
Sometimes allegorical and/or metaphorical statements are the best way man has of communicating the power and glory as well as the Love of God. Mankind doesn't always state them well but the writer of The Battle Hymn did pretty well; considering the times and the ways of expression available to him! Several generations of us love this "Hymn" . . . just have to keep in mind that the power and wrath of God are but one edge of the metaphorical "sword". Splendid rendition by the Suntones!
I was privileged to not only know these gentlemen, but to have sung with them on my Sweet Adeline show. They were one of a kind and, as might be expected in those days, a few of them became a bit "jaded", but no one could match or surpass their singing....they could actually key-change 1/2 done...you'd have to hear it to believe it, but I did. God bless their talent and what it gave to our love of the barbershop music. I'll never forget them.

@TallBlueEyedGal1 That's chunk of history that younger generations of which I'm part of can only dream of being part of. However, us youngsters have our own history to make!

I'd like to know the arranger for this version of "Give me your tired, your poor", and/or where I can find/purchase the score. Any clue would be greatly appreciated.
One of the best quartets of all time! I used to have a record (for you youngsters, those were kind of like CDs, but way bigger, with a much smaller hole, made of black vinyl, and played with a needle instead of a laser) of them as a kid.

This is wonderful. These men were some of the greatest.
On a side note, does anyone know where one can procure this arrangement? My quartet would love and be honored to perform this.

Personally, I don't much like what this song stands for, but that doesn't stop it from being a damn good piece of music. Bravo.

@Bloodhawk713 what are you talking about? Its one of Americas most famous patriotic songs!

I'm not American, but I wouldn't like the meaning of the song even if I was. I don't like patriotism.

I had the honor of singing with Gene between 1998 and 1999 in Miami. Super talented.

I would start with Gene Cokecroft (Miami Area). He was the tenor and did a lot of their arranging. Check with BHS on how to contact.
