  • is that the actual notes for fixing a whole?

  • i'm the only one who thinks mccartney's voice, like wine, becomes better with the time?

  • I don't care what anyone else thinks or says...McCartney is a genius.

  • Smoking, cocaine, have ruined his voice.

  • @SenorZorrozzz

I thought he sounded darn fine for sixty four....

  • @rubbersole79 because he does. he is getting better with age

  • amazing classic from sgt. peppers. hell ya.

  • I wonder how many people are on his payroll????

  • it's a lovely song

  • Actually, Paul's voice has held up pretty well over the years. But it was their unique harmony that made them hit that sweet spot so often. If you take anyone of those voices out of the mix it begins to sound so....mortal.

  • @JCitr7 i agree his voice is still great, but i meant, on this particular song, he was the only one singing it on the original track as well. recording in the studio always sounds better too. but yes they all harmonized amazing together, and i know what you mean about the sound, but i thought they all sounded great alone too

  • Listening to one Beatle sing a Beatle song is like eating a hamburger that only has the bun and nothing else. A stale bun besides. But I guess if you're starving for good music it's still going to taste good.

  • @JCitr7 he was the only one who sang on the original one too, but i guess the biggest difference is age and effects in the recording studio and all that

  • @pamelllakaye Music isn't just about the singer. :)

  • This is fake

  • @whitebloodcell305 WTF are you talkin about? that´s the real poul Mcarney!

  • Billy Joel is there too, why not Nicholson?

  • Jack Nicholson at the end of that video?

  • @GonzoGuyy Either Nicholson or his doppelganger

  • i was there when i was 11 :)

    Best day of my life

  • He still has it.

  • @RockTheStageNYC I understand your point, but it's nice to see the crowd being touched by the music. Its a wonderful feeling to know this beautiful stuff is still being cherished, and to see it.

  • I like the behind the scenes shots. Musicians arent just a single entity. THEY CREATE JOBS!

  • Millions of rooms were painted in a 'colorful way' after this song.

  • Paul McCartney stood up for the truth, and we must do the same. Without the truth, there can be no real morality, justice, equality, success, freedom, love, security, peace, spirituality or even survival. Go to TRUTHCONTEST(dot)com, then open The Present and read what it says to learn the truth of life.

  • I kinda enjoyed the behind-the-scenes shots. I didn't realize how many people were employed to do so many various things. Most concerts I've been to don't seem to have THAT many. I noticed so many details. It was a cool insight to a grand performer I've watched even when I was little and saw his motorcade pass me by when he was a Beatle.

  • One. More. Day. THEN LIVE!

  • the words FUCKING AWESOME are not enough to describe this song...

  • There's always one beef I have with Paul's DVD concert releases. They are obviously edited by people who enjoys pissing off the fans who watch them. Otherwise why would you do so many cut-aways to senseless things like the lighting crew moving trusses and so many crowd shots? Stay on the damn performance!

Every single DVD of his is like this. Just the concert please with nice sweeping shots and close-ups. Save the crowd shots for in between songs.

  • Did anyone else notice Jack Nicholson cheering at the very end?

  • @stealthnegro001 yes I did!

  • For hidden messages in Beatles songs search Truth Contest, click on The Present, click on the Beatles section. Thumbs up on this comment.

  • sounds great! im see ing in 18 days:D

  • These videos are all rather strange if you pretend you don't know any of these songs or who Paul McCartney is. Why is everyone so delightfully cheering for a song about fixing a hole?

  • 20 people can't fix a hole

  • rare he sing it in solo

  • Was this originally on Piano?

  • @edwardLRS No, a harpsichord. Most likely played by George Martin.

  • Sgt. Peppers

  • I bet the CEOs of BP are singing this song...

  • He is so simple - that's the difference. Incomparable person.

  • the intro reminded me of you've got a friend in me.

  • THE SONG TITLE SOUNDS WRONG.

  • @MusicFlaMeS

    Only to a moron.

  • @MusicFlaMeS lol

  • I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in

and stops my mind from wandering

    where it will go

  • 0:26 teleprompter on the left.

  • @SoFarSoGoodSoWhat14 Well-spotted! Shit, I never even thought about him needing lyric prompts in case he forgets!

  • lucid

  • i want to see Paul live !

  • this must have been a great concert. he picked some incredible nuggets from the past for this show.

  • this must have been a great concert. he picked some incredible nuggets from the past foe this show.

  • Bieber who?

  • There's a hole in my life. I have to fill it up someway.

  • Where would we all be without the Beatles?

  • @pistachioguy I think it's safe to say that the whole music industry would be entirely different!

  • @justanotherfrog - yeah, I agree - I mean they introduced so much intelligence, deliberation, experimentation, and orchestration in their music, that it ceased to be rock 'n' roll anymore and truly became ROCK. They acted as a complete change of pace and self-recognition of post WW2 Britain - as a consolidating factor between the US and UK, etc. They also brought in so many diverse musical ideas like Indian instruments, elaborate orchestration, avante garde - you name it, they did it. Super!

  • Comment removed

  • @pistachioguy yes, very true! It amazes me, not only how much they changed the industry, but how long they were able to stay popular for! They were really an amazing band in so many aspects, I don't think we'll ever see anything like it again!

  • This video is unregistered and I like it that way.

  • I was at this gig too!!~ :) Loved Fixing a Hole~

  • Such a talented singer.. composer.. guitarist.. bassist.. pianist.. drummer.. oh god, is there any instruments he can't play on? Just love him!

  • 3:07 jack nicholson!!

  • Live is better than original.

  • just finished playing through the hole sgt peppers album on my ukulele. friggin love this song. thank you kind sir!

  • At the very end, Jack Nicholson cheers, thats awesome.

  • Honestly I love this man but the whole Crowd & even the band completely Americanise the entire show & make it so cheesy. It would be nice to see the actual fucking Beatle play his 60 year plus arse off instead of shots of the crowd.

  • Superb!

  • @bridgeport18 this isn't about acid!!!!!!!!!! It's about NOOOOTTTTHHHHIIIINNNNGGGG!

  • This shows that youtube should only have a LIKE button.

  • fuck 0:53 i want all those hofners !

  • Love the rythym in the bass from about 1.55.

    Love him....

  • Such a great singer considering he's a lot older than he was in the beatles!

    Awesome guy!

  • great but i really miss George's great guitar solo

  • Jack and his Bucket List! YES

  • What were the odds that four great talents like Paul, John, George and Ringo all happened to appear in roughly the same place at the same time. Chance? I don't think so; so what was it? Lightning in a bottle?

  • @yawhateverlogmein Divine providence

  • i am doing this song for my school 4th grade musicle

  • Jack Nicholson at the end! haha I LOVED it!

  • GOD BLESS PAUL.

  • this songs about doing acid

  • He's amazing ^.^ <3<3

  • @alwaysadingle

You're the prick, He wrote the song so how can he cant fuck it up?

  • Wow Paul makes me wonder. I understand, that if you sing cool being young and full of energy is OK, but being near 68, smoking all your live and still feeling the melody, singing, playing instruments, performing all those concerts...He's incredible

  • jack nicholson 3:06 ? OMG

  • Check the guitar tech @ 0:53. We saw it. More than a single legendary Hofner violin bass. :O))

  • I sort of prefer this piano version to the studio one.

  • HE IS A GENIOUS !!! I wonder how he can remember the lyrics and chords of so many songs... Maybe the name of his last album , "Memory almost full", has something to do about this fact...

  • Man, Paul should stop butchering his own songs. Not responses from the Beatles fanatics please. You guys (not the Beatles) are so lame!

  • @nyerndc You're not talking serious

  • @nyerndc I agree 100% ... he did a number on this one. We've always got the recordings though ...

  • what year was this?

  • Thanks Paul. This is so nice. Paul is the best, the cutest (in this age!) and The Beatle i think. He brings us year after year so much joy. And so many hofners bagstage, wow.

  • @pooperscoopr69 Idiot

  • @pooperscoopr69 i hope you meet chapman and he think, he must shot again. you fool on the hill

  • @pooperscoopr69 As far as i'm concerned, Chapman shouldn't of shot anyone.

  • @pooperscoopr69 no on should have been shot.

  • @pooperscoopr69

    now...why would anyone write that?

oh yeah, to get fools like us to respond.

    you win!

  • @pooperscoopr69 What a poor and sad soul you are. What a horrible comment. You should feel ashamed of yourself. Peace.

  • this is living history to listen to paul play this is privelege

  • I just love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MORAISITO O FUGITIVO - the best!!

  • John Lennon. IMAGINE what would it sound like today... All of it!...

  • I hate morons commenting on youtube.. seems like at lot of them are about...

  • cant hit that high anymore paul hahah

  • Pure art.

  • Pure high art.

  • hermosura de hombre <3 sir paul mccartney

  • LOVE YOU PAUL

  • he could have played it on a kazoo it would still be great. amazing talent :))

  • @Rawego he could have done it with some tree bark and a crayon and he would still make it great

  • ???

  • I'm a long time Paul fan. I have to say, his piano is pretty uninspiring here. The video seems to be about how big a show he makes, rather than anything about the music. I guess this will result in a lot of negative responses. Sorry, not to make his legions of fans unhappy. But even the greatest have days that aren't so terrific. Best to you all.

  • @rwkennedy i think you're complaining more on the director than paul. This is the start of an encore I think, so the director of the dvd chose to shoot it like this. the rest of the show is about the music

  • I love the remarks here I am a loving what Paul is doing as a solo artist , he is a star nobody can deny and I hope he carries on for ever. He has the problem of being an ex Beatle and being a solo artist but it always works out brilliant.

  • 3:06 most Amazing random appearance!

  • @Beeoldarm he has a lot of celebs on his dvds

  • The man is a genius. It's mind boggling how many great, amazing melodies he has written; one as distinct and varied as the next. I was lucky to see him in In Kansas City last weekend and we were treated to rarities such as " Obladi Oblada, I've Just Seen A Face, etc. His voice was fantastic, better, I think than what's here from the Paris show. He played rhythm, lead, bass guitar, mandolin, ukelele, and piano of course at the concert. Don't miss his current tour if you have the chance.

  • I gotta say I didn't think this song would sound good turned into a piano solo... I was wrong. GO PAUL!!!

  • Venus & Mars Coming Up :-)

  • @stimpp Roll It

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU PAUL!!! OMG! WHAT A VOICE, TALENT, GENIUS....! If I could ONLY get a hug from him! A long one at that! ;-) Well, I can dream, can't I? LOL

  • so many hoffners! 0:54

  • where's the "repeat forever" button?

  • One of my favorite songs from Sgt. Pepper (1967). Great performance.

  • be awesome to be here

  • no matter any way --WOu WOU OU WOU WOU

  • When I see this im just so afraid he's going to die someday.. But he is. Makes me cry.

  • I love Paul! love the Beatles! this is a really great song.

  • one of my favorites

  • "Embedding disabled by request" sucks.

  • "Embedding disabled by request" sucks.

  • I have noticed in the previous footage that he looks older than he does now.

He is going back in time and getting younger as we get old.

  • @iamamannow Wow ! What a smart statement about music !

  • @iamamannow

John Lennon never had the chance to get old and have people call him 'past it.'

He was a genius but some of his later solo stuff sucked.

  • @discworldhero hah ture

  • @iamamannow only a moron would compare apples and cadillacs...give the guy a break..I love it all, but john and paul would have never made it like that alone...by johns own admission

  • @iamamannow , It's a pity you don't know what your talking about! You think you do, but you don't!

  • @iamamannow , you don't know what you're talking about young man!

  • @iamamannow troll

  • One of the world's greatest treasures - Paul McCartney

  • q chingon lo voy a ver

  • LOL...he got Jack Nicholson's great approval at 3:07, huh? :-)) Cool.

  • this kind of man should live for ever. what a great musichian

  • @paulramonfun musician*

  • i love this version, great piano chord progression

  • He's playing a Yamaha? Surely he could afford a Steinway (or five)!

  • his voice is still clear and a lot of singers cant say that after 50 no less 60

  • I'm 55 and that I grew up with The Beatles is pricelesss -

The Beatles where everything and this brings it all back

  • @SamLowerySF Im 55 also Sam.I share the same feelings you do.Great time to grow up in eh?

  • Fuckin Jack Nicholson at the end?!

  • my guess is that ass PONK KID earlier is some IGNORANT shit head about 19 years old wondering who the Beatles are cause he herd so much about them

  • firt of all i want to say sorry that i make you red that horrible comment the problem is that i am doing a work in where i want to see how people respond in diferent situations. Of course that i dont think like that, i say sorry again for what i make you reed

  • Shut the hell up! If you're trying to be funny or something just stop. Paul McCartney is the best musician alive and his music is amazing. The same goes for The Beatles. Without them we wouldn't have a lot of the rock we have today or metal or even rap. They influenced a lot of music.

  • nacacata you're a big piece of flaming shit!FUCK YOU EH EH

  • @doublefantasy77

We need to eat the bad mouth teens at 12+1/2 before they ever reach their teens.

This is the reason we need incarsaration facilities.......

  • who wrote this song? Is it by the Beatles or just Paul? I've never heard it- I like it.

  • lennon /mccartney ...a beatles theme!! great song!! paul wrote this

  • Just Paul. he wrote it he sing it. the rest of beatles just play the instruments
