Insert Flash with Expression Web- Tutorial

Hello, I have a problem as I cant make the content of the folder for adding a flash movie in Expression web 4 for a webpage. I do not know how to do a java script and a html file and a xml file. The only thing I have is the flash movie and I what to do?

@JasminaKostadinova Not all flash movies will have these other associated files. So if you just have the .swf file (flash movie), then just insert that by clicking Insert - Media - Flash Movie. An alternative way to insert a flash movies is to use an iframe.

On my expression web I do not have the MEDIA link under the INSERT section, I looked around in other links and nothing. I made a clip on flash from a video i took from an iphone, i got those two little files once converted to flash. But, seeing your video, I am stuck trying just to insert the files correctly. I don't have that MEDIA option under the INSERT section.

@earthquakesjr hmmm....okay. Well, let's trouble shoot this one step at a time. First, make sure you have set up an empty web site, a web page, and your style sheet. Now open the web page you want to insert the video into. click somewhere on the page, then click on the Insert menu and look for media.....

If you do not have Media on the insert menu, then its making me think you are using Expression Web version 1.0. I believe the first version of EW did not have Media as an option.

Hi. One question. Where do you get the flash movies/images? I cant found anyone in Internet.

@Velakor You can get flash intros and such from activeden. net and similar places like that.

@Velakor Also, let's say you want to create a photo gallery with JAlbum. The result is a flash file that you can then insert into your pages.

@Velakor Hi! I am just seeing this comment! Please forgive me!! Oh yes, I know about Blend. I don't use it, but I know about it. Expression Web 3 & 4 also has the option to insert Silverlight videos and Silverlight Applications. What's nice is you can insert an .avi video via Insert-Media-Silverlight video and Expression Encoder will open and you can convert (encode) the video into a Silverlight Video right in Expression Web.

hi i make a cc layout header 2 know my question is i trying to add a flag in my page i found in the interenet when i put the flag and save it dont want come out it just a red X blank page why is that doing that to me.

Ok, that red x means your image cannot be found. The path to the image is incorrect. Here's what you need to do: 1) import the flag into your web site that is open in EW. (click File--> Import--> Add File) 2) Next, insert the flag as you did previously. Save it. Preview it. It should appear.
