  • Not to bust any DIYer's bubbles but just consider that in the $100 range (shipped) you can buy a 4 light softbox with stand and 35 to 85 watt bulbs. I've seen 2 light kits with bulbs and stands for $169.99 shipped. These will be UL listed meaning if you have a fire the insurance company can't blame your homemade lights. Even if it didn't start the fire good luck proving it. Those crooks will use whatever excuse they can to get out of paying. That's the risk with homemade electric projects.

  • These are the parts that I used Get them at home depot 1= 5-hole round electrical box ½” hole= $5 4= 1/2 in. terminal adapter= $.25 each 1= 3 lights/lamp holder=$16 2= reflective automotive windshield sun shade= $8 each 1= Velcro= $16 1= white Bed sheet= $5 2= 48” 1/4in. fiberglass rod/pole=$3 each 1=4 pack CFL light bulbs.=$5 1= power cord=$3
  • I spend about $80 but I did a 36”x48” softbox with the light and works great, a softbox this size go for $300 without the light, I had my wife hand sewed the sunshade together and at the end sew a peace of Velcro across to attach what is now the box then she cut the bed sheet to fit the face of the box, she sew the Velcro to the 4 corners and middle. Love it, easy to assemble and disassemble. I’m about to do a bigger one, “like” my comment and I’ll do a video.

  • @compadrevacoco I like your comment dear sir... :D show me how to do it please... Have a nice day.

  • What did you use as diffusing material?

  • Nice job. Could you supply a parts list.

  • pupils dont dialate when light falls into them... they construct

  • @FaLLeNaNg3L82 Pupils don't construct when light falls into them... they constrict.

  • @FaLLeNaNg3L82 - Do you mean "constrict" doctor? Even then I think you really meant to say "contract".

  • Awesome!!!!!
