she said 1000 million years because its for 4 sig fig where as 1 billion years is just one sig fig if this is not the reason then i have no clue why she said 1000 million years

@crazyboyandyomama because she's English and traditionally in England a billion is a million million, over here we call 1000 million 'an American billion'. This is slowly changing though as it makes things very confusing when research, financial reports and other information from America use a different system.

Not sure why they're different but there you go.
