  • Would love to see this film! This segment features an old neighbor of mine when I was a kid in Portland, Mad Dog Vachon. We lived over on NE 65th & Tillamook & Maurice -Mr. Vachon to me - lived with his family over in Mittlemen's apartments. His son Michael was in my Mom's cub scout pack & sometimes hung with my brother. There was also another son named Dennis, if I remember correctly. I hung over at Vachon's often. Had a crush on his daughter, although I've forgotten her name.

  • i swear that's leroy neiman sitting next 2 mad dog vachon...maybe its just me...

  • @jerzeefranky3475 I noticed the same thing, I think it is.

  • I'm Proud to say I own a copy of this thanks to a video store that went out of business I snatched This Golden classic on Vhs at least I have the original box it came in too! • You can purchase this movie at universalwrestling's website, there is a link on the main YouTube page for UniversalWrestling, we own the exclusive rights to it. Thanks for your inquiry.

  • @UniversalWrestling I remember hearing about the movie before it came out and the title was given as "Rasslin." I even have an old NWA Tri-states area program with a little article about the movie. I guess they changed the title?

  • is here someone who knows where to buy this movie ?

  • What the hell!? Why did that one wrestler get stabbed? o.O

  • some crazy fans then i guess haha

  • The lil kid at 30-40 is my wrestling coach

  • Marie Laverne had a tremendous body and could wrestle as well! Bonerville

  • Mad Dog is the best

  • saw it years ago. still one of the best. great young andre footage as well as an interview with dory funk sr (whom son terry is a ringer for). can't find much film of dory sr. anywhere....

  • I have heard alot about this movie but never seen it. Pretty cool to see Blackjack Mulligan, one of my favs, so young & tell the story about his stabbing @ the old Boston Garden.

  • That was back when wrestling was wrestling, not the soap opera it is today. It's a shame it's gone downhill so much.

  • @thegrippler i really enjoyed watching your family through the years your mom was a class act.

  • thanks man she was great!! and was a role model for alot of young women out their!!!

  • I am Diane Vachons son i was 11 years old when my sister Julie and my mother died in Quebec.. they are buried in a small town called Mansonville near the new port Vermont boarder..

My mother was a great person who touched the lives of everyone who ever came into contact with..i miss her very much!

  • re: thegrippler, Wow! you must be proud of your mom, I remember reading the wrestling magazines back then and on the second page they had ratings and your mother's name was always rated among the top 3 in the women division along with Vicki Williams for Fabulous Moolah's title.

  • ian;ur mother was awsome.i am a big fan even though i am 13 :)who's ur dad,just wondering?.

  • I have an old wrestling program from the early 1970s that has an article about the making of this movie. Strangly, the movie title was listed as "Rasslin." I never saw the movie but thoroughly enjoyed this video.

  • I have this on videocassette

  • me too

  • I was a big fan of Vivian Vachon, she was ranked 2 only to the Fabulas Moolah and rarely lost a match.

I was shocked when I read she and her daughter died in a tragic car crash in the early 90's. :(

  • I own this movie in the original old school big cardboard box packaging. Haven't watched it yet.

  • when wrestling was real not show

  • who was the lady wrestler with the son

  • Marie "Fifi" LaVerne

  • If you like the "good old days" wrestling before it became the cartoon character steroid filled monsters of today then this movie is absolutely magnificent!

  • i have never even heard of this movie..it must be terrific

  • It is terrific! There are certified copies for sale at universalwrestling dot com if you interested. Enjoy!

  • Who's the baldie at :45? Is that Mad Dog? Truly vintage stuff, good video!!
