  • So trey songz sampled this ! ah i see

  • This film is the best of a trilogy of films from Inarritu, all of which are good, but Babel is in my opinion the one to really spend time with. I have seen it four or five times, and each time ,another aspect of its message is presented. Everyone involved in the soundtrack provides excellent and relevant music, Sakamoto being the principal emotive force behind the segments that unfold in Japan. In all fairness though, the real binder for all this music is Gustavo Santaolla's original score.

  • Babel represents the best of cinema: stunning visual poetry and music. Of course, great direction, script and acting were part of Babel's package too. The entire film was marvelous, especially that last scene, when father and daughter were crying on each other's shoulder on the balcony while the camera panned away during Bibo No Aozora...It was cinema ecstasy. My body couldn't move, like a filmgoer's samadhi.

  • BABEL ungrateful and cruel, regurgitation of life, spreading happiness in the breeze of covert human sadness. Distressing memories of life silences between pauses of love and death, a close connection that goes beyond the continents. Life as a succession of segments, the linearity and history do not seem able to do justice to the reality of existence. Sakamoto embodies all with great skill in his soul and spits out another masterpiece.

  • I mean like ....... WHO THE FUCK WOULD DISLIKE THIS !!

  • Incredible film. Even better that it has music from my favorite living composer.

  • A moment, a love

    A dream, a laugh

    A kiss, a cry

    Our rights, our wrongs

  • <3 thank you

  • SUPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • It just sooo beautiful. Thank you for uploading.

  • Seriously, I don't like this song. It makes me really sad, which I know it's supposed to do but I still don't like it! Yet here I am listening to it because it's so good...damn

  • Love you

  • christ this makes me sad. but i still don't want to close it.

  • L'Original. Love It

  • Tremendously wonderful

  • utterly beautiful

  • I love this song and i love the movie! :)

  • Damn, amazing. Makes me emotional aswell :p. This should be an anime soundtrack. Anime has awesome music for those that didn't know. Listen to Naruto - First Ending Theme and Spirited Away soundtracks

  • I don't understand why it's so beautiful up until 3.40. It ruins the ambience :(

  • @LozzaWayne i used to think that but i recently realized the genious work of art of his. almost sounds as if a loving couple(cello/violin) is struggling with eachother and going through all the hardship and tries to overcome it.. and at 5:18 couple is finally working to love and see things together, but piano "forshadows sadness that follows"

    there are many interpretation

  • @dksoul0223 Actually, I totally see your point. Beautifully put, if I may say? I do love his work and I love how you described the struggle. Very true. :)

  • Just beautifull :)

  • This was sampled for Trey Songz-Cant Be Freinds

  • There is some subtlety left in the world. Thank God. Gorgeous.

  • What a beautiful piece of music...im gonna be honest i think this is one amazing piece, but i have to also say that the Trey Songz - Cant be Friends song that samples this is also amazing! Yes, it is sampled, who would have thought that a piece of orchestral music like this could be sampled into a hip-hop RnB type of song?!? AMAZING! Props to the Ryuichi Sakamoto and the Produced who sampled this for Trey SOngz! :D

  • Trey Songz Made A Song Using This Beat- Cant Be Friends

  • @Buttahman100 that song is incredible good...

  • Muy mala, me ha recordado que abusaban de esta cancion en la película.

  • Liked it when this song was played at the end of the movie. Very touching, to see Chieko in the arms of her father like that. This film should've won an Oscar man...

  • Babel should have won the Oscar

  • @PetrovIvanMartin babel won an oscar: Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score

  • @Meneerfarid i already knew it

  • @Meneerfarid

...Although the Oscar wasn't awarded to Sakamoto, because he only composed a few pieces like this one. The Oscar was thus awarded to Gustavo Santaolalla for composing most of the other pieces, although some would argue that it was Sakamoto's few pieces that led to the soundtrack winning an Oscar.
