ever since X-games and now NikeSB got involved in skateboarding , skating has become a marketable sport just like pro basketball or football, since when were pro skaters considered "tv sports action stars" in all honesty it's lame as fuck and it's betraying the true image of skateboarding. like i said support local shops and buy core company products if you wanna help make a difference. but man i know it won't do much Nike is a multi billion dollar company. at least osiris tried

skateboarding is an art, it's an emotional outlet to get out the frustrations in life... it's fun, it never was meant to make ppl rich and famous. if you get popular cuz you're a good skater and get sponsored, heck that's awsum dood, but no one should sell out to major corporations like mt dew , targets, nike,..... osiris shoes had a campaign against nike called "don't do it" nike used their millions to counter their ad campaign making a similar one to create confusion, it worked

before we are complete slaves to the corporations. we kinda already are, don't buy shit at major corporations, support your local shops, fuck West 49, fuck nikeSB, fuck X-games. Buy local foods too, support your local farmers markets. I remember when pro's were considered to be skaters and not 'Action Sports Stars' on mainstream TV. There is nothing wrong with skateboarding gaining popularity but it is becoming a trendy fashionable market for the corporations to sell their crap to us :(
