@agmor1 It's entirely possible that a film is good as well as overrated. I think he's right in that The Dark Knight is overrated. Frankly, that film received so much praise it's almost impossible for the quality to live up to it. :P

Kermode talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk. Would he have said that Caine 'misread' the film to Caine's face? He also talks about how overrated The Dark Knight is, but he refers to both of the Nolan Batman films as 'arthouse.'
