Anyone heard of someone in the military becoming a firefighter after their service was finished? Any help would be appreciated.

@gowolves4 I got started in the fire service by having a neighbor who was a career fireman, who asked me if I wanted to apply. Most of the guys on my department, started out as volunteers at local departments or as first time paid on call firefighters with us. I dont know the fire department structure in your area, but I would start by asking your local volunteer department how to get started and then work your way up from there. We have a POC who came from chicago.

@highcountrytimber Definately. This was just one evolution of many, the others were not visible enough to put on you tube. We wanted to start these probies out being able to see what they were doing before they advanced to zero visibility.

I just got back from our weekly explorer meeting, I just learned how to do the SCBA mask, I had only had a tank on once before, that was about a month ago when I had just joined the explorers, so I couldn't do the mask until tonight. Gotta cut my hair short now lol great video!
