  • "They left us nothing... Nothing. Why do we have to right their wrongs? Sometimes... one must be sacrificed..."

  • anyone knows the song that was playing on the record player in this movie

  • @lolwow16

Somewhere Over the Rainbow, by Judy Garland

    ^^

  • @vancecoledotcom tanx

  • 9 versus a world... 9 small "things" versus a world of large "things"... i like those odds

  • "We had such potential. Such promise. But we squandered our gifts. And so, 9, I am creating you. Our world is ending. Life must go on."

  • Geez just listening to this music makes me want to see the movie, I have just been watching videos of it on Youtube for a while now. I gotta see what all the fuss is about...

  • argh , where can we get this to download, not finding it anywhere?

  • @Nar666 tried piratebay yet?

  • @Nar666 Get Youtube Downloader and then download and convert to MP3

  • I cried and cried becuse I was so angry (at one of the dolls) and sad when I saw this movie x)

  • Oh damn, I never realized how awesome 9's soundtrack was until I decided to search it. This movie was great, but I personally think it was wayyy too fast paced. Should have been a bit longer, in my opinion.

  • @MrRobotTits I agree. They could have done so much more before the ragdolls were "released", if you know what I mean.

  • @whotookCheesusChrist All of the scenes seemed to go by unrealistically quick; it kind of makes me feel bad. If they took the time to make it even, this movie would be a ton better.

  • @MrRobotTits Pretty much. The only exception must be the first ten minuites of the film. It pulled me in immediately.

  • @whotookCheesusChrist That makes 3 of us. 9 was way too short; which is how it suffered in story & character development. But everyone knows that a lot of stuff that was cut out and we didn't see any of that. I want to meet the director and see what deleted stuff he had in mind.

  • @Stitchpunk9 If you look at the extras on the DVD theres a few storyboard ideas they had - for instance, the Key around 6 neck was originally going to be used to unlock the box that played the scientist message.

  • awesome movie

  • Favorite track, next to 'Release'. 8D

Now that I'm thinking about it... Wall-E is kind of like a "kiddy" version of this. 9 is like the epic, awesome, bad-ass movie. ;P

  • @arella9977 Wall-E was about pollution, while 9 was about our mistakes in trusting science too much. They are both very good movies. 9 was just much darker.

  • @MisterUnderdog105 They both involved restoring life to Earth. ;P You know?

  • @MisterUnderdog105 thats because 9 was not disney XD

  • The first minute is practically the movie theme....So beautiful.

  • This movie is Awesome ! The Movie "Up" too

Jeezzzz ! such a long period, finally i can see the movie as good as those back in the old days :D

  • I was all like: YES! FINALLY HE DIES! then I was: NO 1! AH WHY DID YOU DO THAT? then I got pissed off and paused the movie to cry because i'm a traitorous bitch who hates the main character.

    don't you just love spam?

  • i cried at the end of this movie..it,s just soo sad......

  • @GigaRagnaSlave. I agree with you. Love to see a sequel to continue this story. The finish is amazing, but it gets you thinking 'What will happen next?' I can't wait, if it happens.

  • Heavy Metal and Classical music, in my opinion they're the two of the best kinds of music to listen to. This movie had an amazing score, I just hope that they create a sequal to tie up the story line a little more:).

  • @GigaRagnaSlave that's the fanfiction writer's jobs. we make desperate cries or a sequel while trying to make one ourselves to fill the void...

    at least, most of us.

  • @Allahanna1 Lol, I know the feeling. I'm a fanfic writer myself, though I mostly deal with Japanese Anime more so than movies:). I've completed a Sailor Moon fanfic, and I'm currently working on a Slayers fanfiction. I'm also working on my own original novel, which I hope to have done by the end of this year:).

  • It's so sad. 1 comes to his senses, but dies after. And 9 figures out how to stop the machine without harming the others. I'm going to regret saying this but... 6 WAS

    RIGHT!!! STICK THAT UP 1!!!

  • there's alot of talk about 9, 5 and 7. I have to admit, my favorites are 3 & 4 xD by far

  • wow this was a great movie and i can beleave most of it... except rag-dalls as the last of humans but the war... how we can have so much power it gets crupted and goes ker-splat in our faces

  • I hated 9, I'm sorry.... 7 was cool, 5 was also.

  • The music is what made this movie kinda touch my heart. I felt bad for those things..

  • ver nice moviee

  • I love it. ♥ It's so gorgeous.

  • Anyone know the name of the song (sounds symphonic with some fuzzed electric guitar) in the official trailer?

  • cohed and cambria- welcome home

    i think

  • welcome home!!! just type welcome home 9 in and if u dont like the voices type in welcome home instrumental and its the one with the big VI or IV i dont remember

  • @saviannahw IV

  • This and Avatar are my two favorite movies.

    Both were Epic.

  • I allmost cried when i saw this movie, its so sad, and happy at the same time, especially the end! Dam i cried :')

  • i was actually mad that they didnt have the song on the soundtrack at the part when the mechanical spiders where crawling into the tube after 7 and 9, that song kicked ass

  • I KNOW! That was just awesome! I got the soundtrack on my MP3 and they TOTALLY cut it off. I'm so mad! It was so cool. I think that it was in the middle of "the aftermath" that the song took place. And it's GONE. How could they do this?

  • yea it was right before the aftermath and i know i cannot believe it was not on the soundtrack

  • @justafidemyself and ktownshutdown21

I think the movie was great. 79 mintues were worth it for me. they actually did a pretty good explanation, in my opinion. Besides, I watched the very end of the commentary of a rental video, and I'm not sure what the full sentence was, but I'm pretty sure I heard the words "...explained in the sequel." So even if htere isn't enough information, they're going to make a FREAKIN' SEQUEL! That is awesome. So, I'd quit complaining. The movie was awesome PERIOD.

  • @shilohrenovation

Don't get me wrong. I love the hell outta this movie, no doubt. It just felt really rushed to me. The story/explanation is fine as is. And I liked the characters they had. I (and other critics) just wanted to see more of them and get attached to them more so when something DOES happen to them, it leaves an impact. 5 was really the only one I went "OMG NO NOT 5!" since he became so likeable and fleshed out.

Complaining and constructive criticism are two different things.

  • @ktownshutdown21 i agree with you

  • (this is shlilorenovation. I made an account. The account I used to post that comment was not my own, but a relative's) I guess you're right. Especially with 2, you only saw him for a few minutes of the movie and then boom, you know the rest. I think they could've shown a little bit more of him. I still loved this movie though, a lot. I didn't actaully mean to write "complaining." I'm sorry I wrote that.

  • It's all good =)

  • 9 is so fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • What's the song where they're at the bridge?

  • @marcster1994

I think its "Return of the Machines" that you're talking about.

  • This movie is awesome. Watched it 3 Times, never gets old. :P

  • socks vs robots

  • this film was so good, too bad i didn't got the chance to see it in theaters. But i watched it 2 times already on my computer. The only bad thing is that this movie was WAY 2 short. and it needed more explenation. And it wasn't that scary actually. I just wouldn't recomanded at ages under 12

  • @justafidemyself

I couldn't agree with you more. The mood, the visuals, the soundtrack, and the premise were spectacular. If they didn't rush through it so much and took more time to flesh out the story and develop the characters a bit more, this movie would've taken the leap from good to GREAT.

Guess that's what happens when studios push them to have a movie finished in time for a certain opening date. (9-9-09! It's brilliant!!!) >_>

  • Mhah xd i loved your comment back XD Yeah and the beast wasn't that scary actually..

  • is this for kids XD?

  • not for little kids :P

  • ummm no.

  • well its rated PG-13 so teens or maybe 12 year olds

  • yea, im 11 and my 7 yr old friend watched with me and its not scary. lol

  • so epic!

  • Apparently, Shane Acker thought of making a sequel. Maybe the sequel can be about stitchpunks who land on another planet, and their mission is to bring life into the planet...

  • i luv this movie.... its so dark

  • send me a msg as to who created this movie disney warner bros? etc.

  • @AlxOvhkin - It was made by Focus Films.

  • ZOMGIES!!! I just noticed, in the pic where 9's holding up the glowing-green talisman, you can see 1's dead body in the background!! D8 WOAZ!

  • i noticed that in the movie!!!!!!! i was like woahhhh

  • you can? :checks background: oh you can!

  • WHERE CAN I BUY THE OST/SOUNDTRACK? 8DDD I absolutely ADORE the music in this!

    ~Imp~

  • @impagain there's no OFFICIAL soundtrack.

  • I loved this movie but it just moved too damn fast, they could've done a lot better if they just slowed down the pacing.

  • Well I think Tim Burton and the team pushed it to come out by 9/9/09. But you're right, it was an excellent movie! Just needed a little bit more detail and explaination.

  • its not the soundtrack!!!

  • best anamation film ever, shame in the uk it didnt get as much publicity as up, AND THE REVIEWERS DIDNT UNDERSTAND THAT IT ISNT A KIDS FILM!!!!! i have the two 9 figures that are curently out hope they bring more of the figures out LOL

  • it was sad they died *crys* i watched the whole movie

  • God I loved this movie. A little sad it ended the way it did.. But still, the possibilities for expanding from that point are huge. A world after the humans have been wiped out... A new form of life emerging.. If they made a game, I think it would haul ass, people would love being able to create their own number, customise what they wanted.. Okay yeah, now I'm just rambling.

  • 8D THAT'S AN INCREDIBLE IDEA!! Bring on the game!! (Heck yeah, I wanna create my own number in a game! I already do it in my head...^^; )

also, have you checked out the web for the fan works of this? They're amazing, Truly! (yeah, I dabble in them, too.) But, check out deviantart. the imagination of the fans is fascinating!

  • hey!,.

uhm... i really appreciate ur uploads here in youtube... soundtracks of tha movie 9...

    5/5 for that...

but i think there's something missing...

im not reallly 100% sure maybe 90%.. LoL

i think they used tha epic song...

    "Escape by craig armstrong"

but i think its a remix one... idk...

if u have it or found it, please inform me.. thankz xD

  • this was a realy good movie

  • I just finished watching the movie! I loved it! Kinda lacked plot....but amazing none the less~!

  • I actually found the start of this score, until 1:10 really sad, watching the Scientist's last moments before creating 9.. maybe I was the only one who found this scene really upsetting. Beautiful music as usual anyway! :D

  • I loved the movie... very dark... n' stuff.... I would've liked it better if it was longer though.... but i dont know how that would work out.... does anyone know if the dolls can procreate?

  • 9 movie its looks like voodoo!? Trailer was good i guess must see this movie! Great soundtracks!

  • This music awes me, it reminds me of the time when Gandalf leads the others to the Mines of Moria in LOTR.

  • I loved the movie. I now call it my favorite movie ever :]

I think they need to stop stamping Tim Burton on everything "9" related. I guess it is for advertisement, Shane Acker is so new and nobody knows a lot about him, but since Tim Burton was involved, more people are going to see it.

If this was Shane Acker's very first movie, I'm super excited to see his future movies!

  • well actually he is the producer. and without a producer the movie cant be done.. The producer sort out everything you can imagine, and rewrite and modify everything he/she thinks it shall be so praticly producers own the film

Directors make the ararngement on set line wich makes the melody and photgraphy work.

    so yeah its a 50% 50% work

  • very nice!!

i didn´t saw the movie, but i know, it will be as fantastic as the soundtrack!

  • Lololol what if it turned out they were gonna have 9 and 7 kiss, but it got removed for time purposes? xDD

I mean, you buy the DVD and decide to watch the deleted scenes (There's probably a bunch of them, Dx) and the title of one of them is "9 and 7 kiss" and then you're all like WHAT? So you watch it and it's only like 5 seconds of the movie.

  • lmfao i really thought 9 nd 7 would have some romantic kiss, but after the part that they should have but they didnt, i started to think either 9 or 7 was gay....lol.

  • orrr maybe they were too busy, i thoguht they were ganna ksis too :\

  • @12rawr24 maybe they didn't because... you know... they're the same person... it's just... egoism? lol

  • I loved this part of the movie... I was on the edge of my seat, jaw dropped, frozen.

LOL, when 9 was about to sacrifice himself, and 7 was all like "No! We can't do this without you!" my friend yelled out "Kiss her, you idiot! What're you, gay?!" XD DX

  • @Pingypong101 But they can't kiss without lips :D :D

  • @Pingypong101 haha, you should see the wikipedia page for 9 it states in the character descriptions

    9:"He has a crush on 7"

7:"She shows a more vulnerable side towards the end. 7 shows a crush on 9 after the Fabrication Machine is destroyed, as well as throughout the film"

  • @Pingypong101 lol, that would have been funny, but remember, they are technacially(kill me for saying thing) rag dolls. They all have the same souls, but that would have been really funny to hear.

  • @Pingypong101 your friend's comment is hysterical XD

  • @Pingypong101

it will be too much ordinary if 9 would kiss 7

i mean "kisses-before-the-sacrafice" are in 90% in all movie now, kissing 7 will just break out all the ambiant

    (no homo)

  • @Pingypong101

i hope you friend knows that there dolls....

  • @Pingypong101

Not even that they're dolls, but that they're technically all fragments of the same man's personality.

  • actually, Tim Burton just produced it

this is Shane Acker's animation and his idea and story

Tim Burton may have a little to do with the process but it defiantly wasn't his idea or animation

  • I think that might be overgeneralizing a bit... :/

  • The animation is incredible and it takes a VERY VERY long time to make a movie that looks so beautiful. If they made it 2-3 hours there would be a lot of filler and we probably wouldn't see it for a few more years.

  • You do know that this was not a Tim Burton movie right?

Outside of that... yeah it was amazing!

  • I hear Danny Elfman all over this--the singing as if from Edward Scissorhands, and musical parts almost like Nightmare Before Christmas. I love the music.. such a good rhythm. I hope to play in an orchestra as good as this.

  • Dang, good music, and EVERYTHING for this movie! This movie was absolutely beautiful.... I mean, the animation, the voice acting, the music, the story, the action... It makes my heart skip a beat, and I get all shaky inside thinking about it

  • It was a good movie but I didn't feel that big epic feel I would of liked to feel like my friends did.

I think The Machine (that big one) was too animal like or too something...it didn't look right to me....

  • I know what you mean. The people I saw GI Joe with thought it was one of the most inspired things ever created, and that was a movie where 'plot' was merely a way to give excuses for action scenes.

  • woot? already the soundtrack!!! sweeeeeeet
