  • FUCK! THIS IS CREEPY!!!

  • Thts not tim curry

  • if they ever make Dark Knight returns as an animated film. I can see Tim Curry doing the Joker

  • This is the order of the greatest jokers.

    1. Mark Hamill

    2. Heath Ledger

    3. Jack Nicholson

    4. John Di Maggio

    5. Kevin Richardson

    6. Jeff Bennett

    7. Cesar Romaro

That's all the jokers I know, their greatness is 1 is the best, 7 is the opposite

  • @Redrobin1301 RIP heath :(

  • The thing is he was chosen to play Joker but he couldn't do the voice for to long or else he'd damage his vocal chords.

  • Is your refridgerator running?

  • Yes, yes, but do you have Prince Albert in a can...?

  • Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA! Bleh-HA!

  • No, the best in order is Hammil, then Ledger, then Jack

  • @nz034 you cant really compare ledger to any other joker. he made joker a whole different character. jack's personally is my favorite, but opinion is opinion.

  • @nz034 Hamill has only done the voice. We really need to see him fully play The Joker to say who's best.

  • Jack Nicholson will forever be the best.

  • @LyleVertigo Correction: Mark Hamill will forever be the best.

  • Can you do "Brad Dourif" as joker with the laugh from "Bride of Chucky" ?

  • @ceitiosaurus I can not imagine that. LOL

  • The Joker does not answer to the laws of men...

  • Waha! Waha! Waha!

  • thinking about it im still surprised they never got him to do the voice in some of the other version of the joker. then again he would probably scare the shit out of children and their parents

  • a thin tim curry wouldve made a brilliant joker

  • @brabon1 Tim Curry rule of thumb: Don't get mad, get sadistic.

  • I was so sad when I found out Mark Hamill couldn't be the Joker in live action.

  • Fail

  • Does Tim Curry float?

  • IT! for the WIN!

  • He would have been the best Joker by an inch or two.

  • I'm all for it! Still not better then heath ledger though.

  • I remember reading somewhere that Tim Curry was considered for the role of the Joker in Tim Burton's Batman, but Burton really wanted Jack Nicholson. Kinda makes you wonder how things might have been different...

  • @gelchert I've also read that Curry read lines and even may have recorded an episode worth of Batman: TAS, but was decided to be too dark for kids. Wish they'd release what he did.

  • @TWB141 Supposedly, he was rejected for the role of Judge Doom in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" for a similar reason - he scared no less than Spielberg and Zemeckis at his audition.

  • GOD DAMN IT!!! NO ONE IS BETTER THAN MARK HAMILL

  • @LEVIticusPHENOM Maybe so, but he's retiring from voicing the Joker, so we'll have to find a new Joker voice actor eventually.

  • @immortalfrieza he's never said that he is retiring just that it would be hard to top arkham city. There was also a book that has been released recently it's actually quite an amazing book..it's all about the joker..anyway Hamil did the introduction in the book if you read between the lines near the end of it he's still keen to keep going and read somewhere else he really would love to do an animated version of the killing joke..which would be fantastic.

  • @Zacspooky Hamill said that Arkham City was going to be the very last time he was going to voice the Joker. Look it up.

  • @immortalfrieza Alot of stuff on his twitter page states other wise. He's also stated he's been missquoted dozens of times. he also said Arkham Asylum was going to be his last time but he keeps finding himself back voicing the joker.

  • Joker: the eater of worlds... and of CHILDREN!

  • The idea is awesome and he deserves a chance

  • I'm sorry, I thought I could go without making a reference but....

    He is wearing make up.

  • Because in Gotham City, we all float!

  • Tim Curry is amazing.

  • They float.....

  • ...

  • DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?

  • lol he sounds like jimmy durante

  • Tim Curry is not good in voicing the joker, trust me, i know a good joker laugh when i hear one..

  • I think Tim Curry as The Joker would be a little too weird for me, i'd imagine him breaking out into song.

The Joker singing "Sweet Transvestite" is a scary thought! 0_o

  • Tim Curry would have made a badass Joker

  • @BrawlerKen987 He was originally cast, Producers then realized he was to scary so they cast Mark Hamill instead,True Story

  • wow the audio fits in perfect is this from stephen kings IT

  • Excuse me, but do you have Prince Albert in a can? You do?! Well, you better let the poor guy out!

    WAHA! WAHA! WAHA!

  • Oh God. Doctor Joker-furter.

  • tim curry did the voice of Skull Master in Mighty Max also which i used to watch about as much as Batman as a kid too bad that show didnt last longer

  • Hamill's Joker laugh is amazing, I don't think anyone can top it...However, that may be the last 20 years of listening to him voice Joker talking.

  • Curry actually was the original Joker in The animated series. But after Hamill's performance in Heart of Ice, Curry dropped out and Hamill took his place.

  • I love mark hamil he's perfect. but I think you may be onto something with tim curry doing it :)

  • Its good but Hamill's is slightly better

  • He couldnt sustain the laugh

  • decent 45% out of 100

    almost have good

    hmmmm

    maybe 60 %

  • LOL IT

  • You guys do know that he was in BTAS as the Joker before marked stepped in, right?

  • Not as nice as Hamill's but nice

  • Fun Fact: Tim Curry was in fact in consideration for the role of The Joker in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman movie.

Willem Dafoe, David Bowie, John Lithgow, Robin Williams, and James Woods were also considered before Jack Nicholson ultimately won the role.

  • @SickIncKamikaze Wait, David Bowie auditioned for the Joker? Now THAT'S something I'd like to see. But I have a question: how much glitter would have to be used in the Joker's explosions if Bowie played him? And if he wanted to taunt Batman, would he just start singing "Dance Batty Dance" and dance around his minions in tight pants? o__0

  • Tim Curry is just far too underrated , a versatile actor that should have won awards !

  • I've never even seen IT and I have the heebie Jeebies. I do love Mark Hamill's Joker, but after hearing this I think Tim Curry would be awesome as well ^_^

  • Curry was actually going to play Joker in this series. But the producers said that it was waaaaaaaaay too dark, and would scare children. They were right, I love Hamill. But Curry, needs to do a Joker voice is one of the DC animated films.

  • tim curry shoud be an older darker joker

not emo/true psycho joker like the dark knight, but still dark

  • Id be constantly thinking Of Joker as a sweet transvestite if Curry did it.

  • IT!!!!

  • I heard they didn't want Curry to be the Joker because his take was too dark and creepy for a kid's show...I WANT TO HEAR THE RECORDINGS THOUGH!!!

  • @ScreaminSavior I read that they decided against casting him as the Joker because he actually could not keep the voice for very long. In between takes he'd cough violently. So they chose Mark Hamill instead.

  • holy shit it's It!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I always thought Tim Curry would be en excellent joker. I heard he was going to play him in the 89 live action film but then jack got the role

  • @cubed1OCBZ

It was more about the Animated series that he was choosen to voice the Joker, which was before Mark Hamill impressed Bruce Timm and voice director Andrea Romano with his take on the character. Still, it would have been just as awesome to see Curry play as the live-action Joker, especially seeing him play as Pennywise from "It".

  • It's sad that everytime they recorded his Joker voice, he would go off into an episode of violent coughs in between each take... :( That's said to be the only reason that Mark Hamill was cast as the Joker...

  • WHUHA WHUHA WHUHA WHUHA!

  • Tim Curry couldve been a good joker too.

  • that's scary

  • I would have preferred Tim Curry's Hexxus voice over Pennywise, but that's just me.

  • This is Curry's role in IT, but he was considered for the role of Joker in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman but lost it to Jack Nicholson, then when the role came up in Batman the Animated Series he recorded several episodes but said Joker hurt his voice.

  • @PauliReenactment actually Mark Hamill said that he wasn't retiring the joker I read on a wiki website

  • you know after arkham city, hamil said he is done, maybe they will call back tim curry or john dimaggio

  • Where did you find this audio?

  • @pixargod Read the description.

  • @pixargod from the movie "It"

  • You people are igits... He didn't get turned down for being too scary. The voice he had to do was too much on him, and he had violent coughing attacks between takes. That's why he was replaced with Hammel

  • did you know that tim curry auditioned to play as the joker in the original animated series before hamill, but got turned down for being too scary for the kids, its true, and know with hamill leaving, and batman things becoming darker and darker i'm praying that they give tim another chance to be the joker, because i believe he'll do an awesome job, XD

  • @TheSpeciesUK I'd still root for John DiMaggio myself. He is amazing as the Joker in "Under the red hood".

  • So does anyone know if any of the Curry joker audio actually still exists?

  • Damn. Curry's voice is just as good as Hamill's. If Hamill truly does retire, then Curry should take the role over.

  • @gurneyman100 Agreed 100%. Curry would be a noteworthy replacement for Hamill should he choose to retire.

  • @MDthornton83

Hammil said hes officially done with Joker after Arkham City

  • @LeoHwzrChannel I know.

  • Can tim do the laugh?

  • The bats Kevin said he was way too scary so they got rid o him n got Hamilton instead

  • Damn. The audio is creepier here than it was in Stephen King's IT!

  • he had coughing spells cos he was in the process of quitting smoking

  • Holy crap! That was WAY scarier then any Joker I'VE heard. That MUST be from the movie IT. I hated that damn movie when I was a kid. Scared the crap outta me since I was afraid of clowns.

  • Apparently he was the second choice for the Joker in Burton's '89 film. Too bad maintaining that voice was too harsh for him. He sounds even more intimidating than Hamill's.

  • He sounds like Pennywise from IT. Of course that was him playing that too :D

  • @PokeyBessie That's because the audio of this video is from IT. He says this line when they open the photo album and he's swinging from a streetlamp (the photo moves as if alive).

The recorded audio of Tim Curry as the Joker is filed away in a Warner Bros. vault from what I understand.

  • he was supposed to be the joker originallly but he would have violent coughing spells after trying to do a voice over take he would have been the best though

  • whoa i like this voice. very dark and creepy

  • They said he was too dark and scary for the Joker

  • imagine if he playe dthe 89 joker :O

  • That was AMAZING

  • @Jet5560 Yes.

  • Dare I say it, his voice is as perfect as Hamills!

  • @solyentbrak1

    hell yeh

  • COOL :D
