I think you did a hell of a work here! Love the creativity. My only hope/concern is that they will not scratch you from their list because you don´t follow the time rule....but if they don´t that may be unfair to others...

But seriously, I know it's over, and no offense, but I'm kind of tired of hearing that. It went over, and I choose to put it up; if it didn't pass selection, so be it. Apparently it did though because I'm in the selection pool for the final 16. And no I don't think it's unfair to anyone - they could've taken the same risk I did.
@muertoriko Thanks. I really just wanted to do something creative with a submission instead of explaining it all as a talking head in front of a camera. Even if it's deemed too long, I'm glad I did it, as I learned a hell of a lot about shooting video with a dslr and workflow / editing. It's actually got me WAY interested in doing more video projects…
@JoeBoyVlog Thanks. Yeah, I just tried dropping to around 3 minutes, and it's basically the opening and the ending with the photos. It works as a skeleton, but the heart's all gone… no explanation of what kind of photography I'm into or how I got there. Context's a lot slower / subtler in a narrative format. Boo.

incredible light in the portrait at 5:15.
Great story in this vid. but it is a sacrifice to meet the 3 min requirement, things have to get lost on the cutting board.
Cut it down and I bet you get in, I did enjoy every second of it though
