I am sorry to hear about the hamstring strain. That can obviously affect your numbers. I am actually dealing with a Grade II+ Groin Strain myself that has resulted in over a 50 pound decrease in my squat numbers. I think there are a lot of factors causing your chest to collapse but there are two things I can recommend off the bat that will help tremendously. Watch Matt Wenning's So You Think You Can Squat videos and pay attention to unracking and make a conscious effort to keep your chest up
@KreuzDerKrieg Injuries are no fun, I've strained my right hamstring twice in the past year. I'll watch that video and try to keep that cue in mind when squatting, thanks for you help!
Did you take a break from lifting? These look worse than you did a year ago. You are having problems keeping your chest high with 170 pounds from the very beginning. That is not a strength issue, more likely a lack a lapse in technique. I would normally applaud someone for this depth, but you are not maintaining any tightness at all going down which is beyond me given the belt and light weight. Taking it off the hooks was sloppy as well. Set your chest high and squeeze your shoulders together.
@KreuzDerKrieg Who is this? Did you comment on some videos of mine from last year? I took some time off because I strained my right hamstring pretty badly. I'm currently trying to work through adrenal fatigue so I haven't been lifting heavy stuff, but I've been working on my form. These don't seem that bad, a year ago I was doing SS and my form was not all that great. I'll work on my chest though, it definitely does collapse.
