  • wow

  • Howard and Vestal Goodman were surely good singers of gospel---I saw them once in Mississippi

  • I just noticed a continuity error. Just before Larry Gatlin begins his solo in the second verse, when the camera is on him, Howard, and Vestal, he is wearing a sweater. When the camera cuts to a close up of him, he is no longer wearing a sweater. Then when it cuts to a different angle, he is wearing the sweater again. They must've filmed the beginning of his solo again and edited it in. I wonder why.

  • Hoover, who is the gentleman shown up close at 1:21?

  • I remember when I first saw this. The only thing originally meant to be released was this song. The rest wasn't meant to be released. God knew the impact it woul have:)

  • WOW WOW WOW PRAISE THE LORD

  • wonderful job!

  • So very cool this montage was put together. Thanks for sharing it!

  • I love it! Haven't heard this song for a long time. Still so beautiful. Yes, Jesus is the only way, the best friend to go to.

  • Thanks hoove for this video. I really appreciate it.

  • who is the bass singer thats sings after george younce ???

  • It is Broc Spear of the Speer Family.

  • Here are the bass singers in order, George, Brock Speer, JD, Brock again, George and JD last. In a later version Rex Nelon, Ray Dean Reese are also heard.

  • can someone please tell me the name of the bass singer thats sings after george younce dose please

  • LOL Lowry with a mullet... scary.

    God Bless,

    Randytravisfan23

  • it's from the very first gaither homecoming video called "Homecoming"

  • I remember first seeing this videos/song. STILL Love it. Funny thing, If i remember. The video (the homing) wasn't even gonna be released, being that the footage wasn't professional. Bill looked over it & felt fans would love to see it. Thus, the videeo series was born.

  • Interesting about the very first homecoming video. This music

video was the only thing Bill was gonna release. He took the other footage home from them sitting around, singing, etc. Thought fans would love to see it & Thus the video series was born.

  • i need to ask. how do you upload so many gaither songs? they don't mind? i'm not reporting you or anything. but seems like the gaithers would be mad someone putting on hundreds of their videos.

  • actually several of the gaithers have e-mailed me thanking me again and again for posting the clips of them because according to them it has increased their sales and bookings. Aaron Wilburn for example, has been e-mailing with me for over a year and he invited my mom and I to dinner on friday as a thank you.

  • @doedeedum by uploading this video many people have follow jesus just after listening to thas...so i don't think the gaither would be mad because of thats.....

  • Wow I had no idea the Gatlins were there from the beginning...It's wonderful seeing Howard Goodman standing!!!! Thank you Ms Hoover for posting this.....

  • i thought hoover was a guy.

  • no lol

  • Awesome.

  • They misidentify Buck Rambo as Rusty goodman.

  • I them on this song!

  • whoops i meant I love Them on this song

  • simply uplifting.

  • WONDERFUL where can I buy this compact disc?

  • howard and vestal is happy now we will miss them all

  • this is soo wonderful!!!!

  • Only true genuine faith can result in such a song. What a reunion will be in heaven!!!

  • In the 2:33 segment of the Where Could I Go? Video, you'll find the Happy Goodman Family of Gospel Music Fame. Howard is the big fella sitting and Vestal is the middle one on the first row; Sam is the first one on the back row and Rusty is the last one on the back row. I am guessing the other women are Essie Mae and Stella Goodman. Does anyone know for sure who they are?

  • Actually first in the back row is Bill Huie who sang bass with them for a bit. Three of the four sisters are there. The other three could either be Eloise, Gussie Mae, Stella, or Ruth

  • Does anybody know who's the guy singing in 3:52 with the glasses?

  • the man in the glasses is the late hovie lister. and sadly, 99 percent of the older folks in this video have gone on

  • who is the same man at 1:04 to 1:10 playing th epiano in the black and white video.

  • That's Hovie Lister

  • Does anybody know who of these people in this video have gone to be with the lord?

  • The ones I know of are Howard and Vestal Goodman, J.D. Sumner, Hovie Lister, Jake Hess, George Younce, Brock Spear, James Blackwood, and Glen Payne. And these are just the ones that are singing live. There are many more in the old video clips and stills.

  • So few good clips of Brock Speers singing bass with the Homecoming Friends...this is great!!!

  • What a song. I've got the cassette & video. Just a note of trivia, the music video was meant to promote the ccd/cassette. The rest of the video was never meant to be released. God had other plans though! :)

  • Goosebumps galore.

  • So many great Artist, most of them are now with the Lord. What a wonderful day it will be when we are all reunited with Him!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is so powerful! And it is so True! ah man..I miss all those guys. They are the greatest.

  • What is the video called?

  • i believe it's just called "homecoming"

  • You'll find this one on "Homecoming Classic Moments" that are featured by Bill Gaither & Ralph Emory.

  • Awsome video, so much memories, beautiful song!!!!!

  • I Miss Vestal Goodman More and More when I hear her Powerful Pipes!!

  • So true! One of my favorite songs; thank you Jesus for your sweet spirit that I feel as I listen to this song..It's beautiful!!!! Thanks for posting...
