Do yourself a favour, get a SPL meter and measure the decibel level right in front of the amp, where the kid just had his ears. I think you will be surprised, and hopefully learn from it.

I know! Though it wasn't nearly as loud as it sounds in the recording. It was a tiny digital still camera and the mic was totally blown out. But yes, best to be careful with the little ears.
