You can, however play as NATO which lets you take command of strictly European soldiers and military hardware as opposed to the USA.

Turning off Light Bloom and turning the water details to low will make it run smoother. Some GPU can't render out the water and Light Bloom well enough to have good Frame Rates. A better fast card will help a lot, but the game looks good on medium settings and great at max.

Your CPU should be up to it. The problem is likely the graphics card. It runs great with fairly much eye-candy turned on on my cumputer with and AMD64 3500+ and a 256MB X800 graphics card. If you can play Half-Life episode 2 with sustainable FPS you should be able to play this.

the game looks great, im getting it soon, but they need to take nukes out of video games forever.

in games they never do much, the explosion is so small, they ignore the shockwave and the fact it will blind anyone looking at the blast and isnt wearing special goggles.

nukes were made to destroy cities and end wars.

currently, in the war against terrorism, the USA is using tactical nuclear warheads. aka bunker busting bombs against suspected terrorist bunkers.

i understand what you mean, but no actual nukes are made in that, no weapons that involve the splitting of atoms.

depleated uranium shells are technically nuclear, but only emit extreme heat at the tip to penetrate armor, and there is no radiation damage to speak of.

and when you think about it, thats better than a shelled building where the lead is poisoning the area (and possibly civilians) around it.

Depleted Uranium isn't a nuke though. The reason why they're used in shell is not because they're radioactive it's because:

A: We have too much of it and we don't know what to do with it.(DU is a Nuclear Waste)

B: DU is a very dense metal, denser than lead and even better than Tunstigen.

C: It partly explodes when it hits something at high speed, which causes it to burn through the armour of a tank.

yeah, and like i said, fmj rounds have lead in the center, when they hit things the lead can become exposed and contaminate the area of a fire fight. i think the army is replacing these bullets with safer ones that disintegrate when they hit hard surfaces like concrete or pavement, and have no heavy metals. but im not sure, i just heard it from a friend.

That you need not to build a base is one of the points i love in this game. Economy? This is war and you are a general. Who cares how you get ur Units? This is the problem of the president, but u only have to command your units!

3. The Single Player missions are good. Scripted, ok. But the story is great. And btw. the MP-Part is the best in this game.

The IG grafik is much better as on this video showen. But ok, it´s a Vid. from Beta version.

This game is definitely worth the money, one of my absolute favorites. Also, your computer should handle this like a charm, my p4 2.8ghz, 256 mb video card 6800 and 1.5gb ram can run this on the highest specs (minus dx10 and anti-aliasing)
