We are NOT gods! We need to see ourselves as sinners, & come to realize the depth of God's mercy & love towards us & our need for forgiveness.

God provided the only way for us to have a relationship with Him. (John 14:6)

Read it with an open mind, without pre judgement, without fear. It's not dangerous. Do that. Read it entirely first. Then come back here. ;)

I think this is quite comical, in a way, that you are attacking a peaceful, love of God belief system because of how you've been taught about God ,i.e. the christian fear belief system, is completely opposite to what Jesus would do. Jesus taught love. Not punishment. Please will you pray for the Holy Spirit to correct your thinking?God is love. If you wish to believe that our Father is wrathful and vengeful, then so be it.
