Great video, I used to do tour stop with the NWPA, but since I've become a single mom, those events have become few and far between with VERY limited practice game. My game has suffered for that, obviously, lol. I do attempt to practice for 1-2 hours 3 times a week, but this is a great drill video, nice work.
Along the same line as your target drill. I like to put a sheet of paper in the center table and not worry about pocketing the OB but hit it so that the cue ball returns to center every time. Then from that position, hit the same OB again and return to center. It's not about sinking balls but about learning to control speed and angle to get the CB back to center.
I like the straight to rail drills too. It lets you focus just on your stroke and technique. If I start feeling out of line in a match, I'll do this on another table until I feel back in stroke during opponent's innings.
do Pros really practice drills 8 hrs a day? God that would drive me crazy. I tried two hrs a day on my home table and after like four weeks of it i wanted to chuck my stick out the window lol.
@poolplayer999 For a pro, someone making major money on this, it would be nothing more than a normal job for them. So I don't doubt there are people that do it. I myself am like you thinking 8 hours a day would be nuts, 8 hours a week I easily do mostly towards weekends.
This is gold! Keep up the good work, sir. Hopefully, I'll get around to test this workout schedule soon - it seems as close as it gets to perfect for a player of my caliber. (Not much time, not too much dedication, just an interest that goes beyond "playing with your pals on a Saturday evening".)

@poolplayer999 im not a pro and i practice up to 5-6 hours everytime i go out. if could do it daily it would be awesome. hopefully would help too.
