it's great that you like this song, and for the most part you very much did it justice. You have a powerful, versatile voice, but all that improvisation and 'whitney houston'- like entertainer singing often detracts from the perfection of the song. Paul chose the notes that he sings in that because they had a beautiful relationship with the chords beneath, so ye you are an amazing singer really, but ye a little less improv (people never get bored of hearing the original verse and chours :)

I thought it was actually quite good, my only comment would be that either the general sound quality of the recording device was rather sketchy or perhaps you were too close to the mic towards the end of the song which caused some distortion. And the 'dead' parts of the song where there are no lyrics could be cut out so your performance would be more fluid and natural.
