  • Hello Andy, great and nice show of pictures, you have a beautiful truck, you did a nice movie, you used the right song, I like too much the songs from Keane, I send greetings from Brazil !!!

  • Thanks for your comment.

  • Nice tidy looking loads, I take it you are thinking of heading to Canada too, good luck, hope things work out for you.

  • going, erm ...interesting, cath will fill in on blog, hope you get summat soon mate.

  • Cool. I will check it out.

  • Nice pictures mate, now hurry up over here and get some proper pics.

On a serious note, the Euro trucks are far superior to US ones but don't look like real trucks, and have no space inside

  • Hey Mick,

Yeah I know the US trucks are years behind when it comes to the driving experience, that's why I'd love to have a Volvo out there. How is your first solo trip going? Hope you and Cath are enjoying it? I need to get out soon mate, got no work at mo. Thanks for your comment and drive safe.

  • are the cabovers weird to drive like seeing nothing but the street lines in front of ya? always wondered... :-) great vid!

  • Hi CF,

They aren't wierd for me as it's what I'm used too. It would be better to have the lump up at the front, more protection. However, they allow you to get REAL close to any knobs that piss you off!!! LOL Cheers for the comment!!

  • Stoppin by to give you some more stars!

  • Thanks a lot ZT, YOUR a star!! :-)

  • Thank you for all your positive comments guys.

  • Hi i like your pictures they bring back some nice times to me my late father was a truck driver.Ive just been layed off(im a bricklayer)ive been thinking about getting into the trucking industry,i used to love driving around with my dad in his Scania 111.

Is it a good job to be in or is it strugling like most other jobs at the moment?I sent away for all the details and perhaps might take it up,can you give me any advice please?

  • Very interesting vid, my man! Funny how your company name and the make of the truck spell "Cannon Man" in the front! Is it auto shift, or manual, I wonder? If auto, how do you like it for up/downhills? Is it performant? And if manual shift, is it synchro? Very cool truck though! Keep it safe, bro! Cheers from Canada!

  • Very Nice pics you have here...Great Job...take care

  • Hi 379showtime,

Thanks very much for your comment. I really appreciate your feedback. Take care brother.

  • I really like this video, that is some very beautiful pictures!! I hope your doing good over there. Take care my trucking brother.

  • Hey Trucker Steve,

Thanks a lot for your comment Steve. To get a comment from you means a lot man. Take care out on the road bro. :-)

  • great video! 5* for you! :-)

  • Thanks very much CF. It's very much appreciated!!

  • You used movie maker quite well. It was nice to see the different styles of trucks.

  • Hey ZoeToots. Thank you for the friend invite and the nice moments. It was my first attempt at movie maker. When I get my video camera I will buy decent video editing software. I'm honored by your presence. Thank you!! :-)

  • Very cool Andy, I liked the music and the Truck was different, I get the feeling that overall length and compactness is important over there, I see very few "long nose", but many cabovers in the European vids. Who makes MAN? is it British? I see a lot of them in the Paris to Dhakar docs.

  • Hey Jeff,

    Thanks for the comments bro.

Yeah, there is a size limit on trucks over here, purely because of the size of the roads. There are a few "long nose" trucks here, most are Scanias, but there are a few Volvo and American rigs too. MAN is a German company, owned "I think" by VW. They make a 680BHP V8 version. VERY NICE...Thanks for the comment Jeff

  • You keep your rig looking very nice! I was impressed by the whole thing! Don't know if I'd like that "digital 'big brother'" tho... I've seen these kind of flat beds before! Sure beats having to tarp your freight. Excellent and very educational!!! Five stars!

  • Hey Christy,

Thanks very much for the comment. I thought it was about time I made the effort to make a decent video. I'm looking at buying a HDD video camera soon, so watch this space!! Don't you have curtainsider trailers in the US? They are great, and if you have lightweight freight on board you can get away with not securing the load. Thanks for the comment...:-)

  • Thank god you dont have this Big brother in your cab..The Police can see every second where u are to fast or to long driven on the road..

And the machine safes this data for 28 days..

I get a ticket for something i have done two weeks ago..Isnt that crazy..I cant even remember that day...

  • Hey ET..Nice MAN TGA with automatic i saw..Let the truck work and relax or what..

You have a funny way to safe your load on the trailer never seen before..Anyway great video cant wait to see more..Thanks for share..

  • Hey Andreas,

Thanks a lot for the comment. I could use proper straps and ratchets, but it would take forever to strap up. The straps I'm using are sufficient as those stillages are very heavy and aren't going anywhere.

  • Thanks for your reply..

Sorry I am a Tank driver and have no idea from saving a load..I just have to close the cap..Andi..

  • Sorry mate, you might have thought I was having a go, didn't mean to sound off... I have lots of proper straps and ratchets but it takes ages to strap a load. Those bins are heavy and I take it real steady when I have a max load. Tankers hey, nice. I love your Volvo, they are a very nice truck to drive. Just having a look at your site. Very nice. Thanks for your interest mate, watch out for the next one..

  • No problem..I am not bad..mabey you miss understood me..Your right thats an easy and safe way to safe the heavy load..Next time im around the UK i buy you a coffee or a beer its your choise..lol..

  • Thanks for the offer of a beer Andi, I LOVE beer, but not when I'm driving LOL.. So I will take you up on the coffee, no problems. What do you deliver in the UK?
