  • fucking sellouts... they where really badass and now its a shame seeing them on dumb hipster T-shirts

  • I remember listening to these AFI tracks when I was around 12. I heard Miss Murder the other week and honestly thought it was a different band with the same name or that this AFI wasn't called AFI but well... what the fuck happened?

  • Well, I prefer their stuff with current band (with Jade and Hunter, that is), though I don't really like (I would say "hate", but.. well, it's AFI) Crash Love - the only songs I can stand are Medicate and...er.. yaeh, Medicate. And maybe Beautiful Thieves and Torch Song.. no. But I love their stuff from Sing The Sorrow. <3

  • the good old AFI ,what happened ! you stop making fuckn good punk rock such a shame !

  • Ugh why do all your songs sound like you're playing them through a potato?

  • @everywhereimnot hahahahahahahaha nice XD

  • It's actually a A Fire Inside.

  • @KnodoffFan if you had the original release of answer that and stay fashionable on wingnut records you would see that it was actually anthems for insubordinates but it seems they said years later that a.f.i stood for a fire inside which is easier to remember and buy for the main sheeple crowd...i miss those days

  • dear everyone who is saying they never should've changed and all this shit, can you imagine if a 36 year old man was still writing songs like this!?! come on, people would ridecule the band, Crash Love, even if it's not your style, it's still brilliant, there's no denying that, same with Decemberunderground, but whatev's :/, you have an oppinion, so do i

  • My mom let me get a Mohawk.

  • whyd these guys turn so gay east bay hardcore? yes this is but i dont think now u dix :(

  • i wanted to get my hair like Davey but wouldnt let me

  • hahahahaha i played this song to my ex cuz he was the biggest mamas boy LMFAO <3 this sooong XD

  • It's a shame really, a once great punk band now produces the most mainstream filth i've ever heard =/

  • @HappyAngerMan Man i cant believe how great their stuff from pre 2000 is

  • @HappyAngerMan Hipster.

  • @ZacsRiotClan If appreciating bands that don't sell out makes me a hipster I'll take the label anyday.

  • @ZacsRiotClan He's not a hipster you dumbass, he likes the hardcore punk stuff, like I do. The new stuff is overproduced, mainstream music. I don't hate all mainstream music, but the stuff that they play is completely what punk is not. Its too bad their music isn't like this anymore

  • @HappyAngerMan Crash Love didn't please me, but hey, they are the musicians. it's they're art and should be respected.

  • Is he calling out poseurs or did he write this song about a personal experience?

  • @XanthanLazarus He wrote it on a personal experience. His mom wouldn't let his brother get a mohawk.

  • who would compare this awesome music to their new sissy shit like crash love? two completely different styles.

  • 3 fox dont have mohawk xD

  • I am writing a hate comment. My bad.

  • They should at least sing old songs...Green Day has been doing that

  • selling out is bullshit....seriously who fuckin cares, if they make great music they deserve to make great money, afi chose to become shitty music and thats fine because that is the music they wanted to make and there are people who want to listen to it...

  • @joeyc415 it's cool if te band was actually moving in a cool direction and didn't do it for cash. AFI did niether.

  • It's quite fun to sing this going down high school halls. :3

  • Comment removed

  • when afi was good

  • @vanitymalia agreed

  • you guys need to get off afi's dick

answer that...isnt even close to anything they have acheived imo

black sails, AOD, and STS is the freakin shit

the first three are fun, and really cool, but when it comes to actual artistic, cathardic music, and lyrics, then what they are doing now is way better

  • I'm 12 year old girl and I want a mohawk. But guess? :D My mom wont let me get one xD Pretty much same situation right here, kinda :P Though my mom is a old punker xD I love AFI anyways ^^

  • @darkside1918

    nobody cares............just saying

  • A Fire Inside not anthems for insubordinance -.-

  • @JustCore9 it originaly stood for anthems for insubordinance, and they thought about making it "all fucking idiots" but decided to changed it to a fire inside

  • People like Saiyan7x are f*cking idiots. You dont know music if you think these are emo. Slower music does not mean emo or sell out.

He cant sing about not being able to have a mohawk and shit like that because he HAD one! (Oh, and he grew up)

  • I like the A.F.I. now, and the punk A.F.I. from back when. If anyone is a sell out band, it's Good Charlotte.

  • @Sims2players

ehh i love old afi but they are DEFINITELY sellouts without a doubt. dont try to deny it

  • @MISSsuperstarrr Eh, I suppose. But, I just don't hold it against them because I'm not passionate about their music. I appreciate them, but I could live without them.

  • bleh, I hate listening to their old stuff and seeing all the "sell out" comments.

I listen to them even with their newer stuff

So everyone can suck a fuck XD

Great stuff, and by that I mean the entire album.

  • wow i love this song

  • fucking misfits man, so fucking beast. afi is like so amazing in their older pieces of work.

  • this band was great before december underground. one of the few emo bands i actual liked. and by few i mean they were the only ones

  • @yamon98

    AFI isnt emo

  • @PostHxCROX93

    They are now.

In their first couple albums they were punk though...

(I love pretty much all their albums...but the punk ones are my favorites).

  • @PostHxCROX93 actually yeah . now they are fucking emos =(

  • @PostHxCROX93 they are now

  • @PostHxCROX93 now they are

  • UH HUHHH HUHHHH, BAND SOLD OUT THAT REDUCES THE QUALITY OF THEIR MUSIC.

    Please shut the fuck up.

  • either way sell out or not, these guys wud NOT be making PUNK music at the moment, atleast they are still around and make half decent radio music and still do shows where they play a couple oldies for u guys.. if they didnt sell out they wud NOT be around right now no band, lets see what other amazing 90's bands are still around right now? samshing pumpkins, NOPE, OFFSPRING? naaaaaaaah, the only one ic an think of is greenday and they sold out too lawls

  • @yugoterror

This is true...the green day sold WAY the fuck out.

But you want punk bands from the 90s who are good and didn't sell out?

    How about The Casualties?

  • A Fire Inside**

  • first time i heard this 1...OMG I LOVE IT!

first song i heard from this album.....

  • AFI was SO much better when they were still punk..

  • Their bassist kicks total ass

  • i like this 1 and medicate

  • how old was davey when he started AFI?

  • @inaeye: Well, he's in his thirties now, so 34-18 = 16.

    Dude.

    That's young! O_o;

  • i actually think they are better now. i like their old stuff but i think crash love is probably their best. but thats just my opinion.

  • @AHonceinawhileAH: Davey's vocal talent is incredible in Crash Love, whereas this stuff is more... how should I say... raw?

Each CD has its own improvements from the previous, so it's unfair to compare THIS album with Crash Love.

A person you are now is not the person you're going to be 18 years later. ^.^

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx the word my friend is punk dude spread it and forget it;)

  • @julescicle: Well, yes, they were pretty hardcore punk. :D I kinda wish they had more punklike albums... *pouty*

But I still like their new stuff, too. :3

  • me too as well but hey there new suff is good too well put

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx So do I, I much prefer this, although I went to see AFI last month and I really enjoyed the Crash Love album. There just amazing. ahaaha :)

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx Your right, plus he matured a bit since 18 years ago. 18 years ago these vocals were what he was aiming, on Crash Love he is actually singing as to this it's more shouting. But I have to say this is my favourite song off of the album, a right good tune :)

  • @charlotteb56621: I agree completely. This is also one of my favorites.

I saw AFI twice in the fall of the CL tour, and I'm gonna see them again on the GD tour. I was sooo enthralled. They were great live. They have such an energetic aura, and are able to captivate the audience, or so it seemed.

They actually played "Don't Make Me Ill" at one of the concerts I went to. :D They ranged from their first to their last, which is just... eargasmic. XD

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx Yeah, when I went to see them Davy didn't stop moving haha, he was great, he just has tones of energy!! XD

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx

lol yeah also transitioning through like 4 genres theyre gonna sound different

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx unless you're in AC/DC...

  • @skatingequalsPoWeR: And that's why AC/DC stinks. XD

Every... single... song... sounds... THE SAME

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx damn straight! :D

  • @skatingequalsPoWeR: Lmao! XD

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx i think it's only been about 15 years, so who knows, maybe by next album....

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx this is a million times better than crash love, and 10000000000000000 times better than that awful winter album. i miss this band :(

  • @opiatesystem: I like both this album and December Underground, but this one I like more. I pretty much like all of AFI's stuff! ^.^

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx this is the first one kid.

  • @MantyMassacure: Yep, sure is. And what a great first :3

  • music has gone down hill so much

  • When they were good....

  • i love them! just cuz they changed doesnt mean everyone should all of a sudden hate them. everyone changes so get over it and love them for what they were, are, and will be.(:

  • @anikasykes the adtics never changed

  • they were good

    they are bad

    they will be horrible

Give me a reason to love anything for being horrible.

  • well said :o

  • I second that opinion. Their old stuff was brilliant, now they've gone to be too pop.

  • Too bad they suck now...

  • I love old AFI and their stuff Davey is awesome still and I don't care what anyone says, I still listen to them Davey Havoc has an excellent understanding of music. I'm the same way about The Used...why they chose to do the stuff they do now I will never know. lol

  • Holy shit they use to be good!? WTF happened! I agree with kicknbazz1615

  • they are not sellouts. read their alternative press article

  • OMFG they are the definition of sellouts!!!

    there so fucking emo now!!!

  • What happened to AFI? They used to be clever and witty. Now they're just another pop rock band with too much make up writing gothic love songs at an attempt to be horror punk. I bought this album and it was 7 bucks. I bought December Underground to see if I liked it,it was 20 bucks. What can I say? Sellout.

  • What happened was they changed, just like every band does. They developed, and became mature with their work. So some people don't like it, totally understandable, but what you should be doing instead of criticizing their new stuff is just accepting the fact that they changed, like they always said they would. Sure it'd be amazing if they were still punk rock, though.

  • I hear ya atleast they didnt sell out like the pistols did and do like 10 greatest hits.

  • Oh I didn't even know the sex pistols had greatest hits? well although I agree that the sex pistols are about merch now.

  • actually the sex pistols just did that to fuck with the major record companies.. They technically did sell out, but they did it out of humor, they didn't give any regard to becoming famous and rich at all.

And yes, this is the best afi album by far, great PUNK BAND.

  • Gothic love songs and Horror punk ? They have matured alot. Davey is the same bastard (in a positive sense ^^ ) as he used to be , and he still puts hidden messages in lyrics. He never goes right to the point on his new material. Sure , the sound is not as tight and hardcore as it used to be ( :( ) but give him a break he is 40 years old...

  • Matured? yah that why they do a bunch of emo shit now LOL

  • Comment removed

  • the price of albums does not in anyway dictate the band being a sellout. It depends on the place you bought it and the average album sale price of the times. You rarely see an album for 7 bucks anymore. Prices change with time. Simple as that.

  • Don't know shit about the underground, do you? CDs range between 5 and 10 dollars.

  • You don't know shit.

  • @InsertGoodNameHeree InsertGoodOpinionHere...not that yours really matters.

  • @MrKCrow, If you don't like people voicing their opinions on youtube...Then don't go on youtube. And don't have a youtube account.

  • @MrKCrow, besides; shouldn't you be at the mall?

  • another great song from a sell out band.

  • fuck you! lil' wayne does suck though.

  • @StupidChicagoPunk

Their sound just changed, they want to experiment with new genres, it's understandable dude, don't label people as "Selling out"

  • @WIll40592 okay. usually i wouldn't do this, but they did sell out. i don't want to start an arguement, but if you look at them today, they hae totally sold out to the goth/emo/scene croud. back when their sound started to shift, the whole goth scene was really popular. do the math.

  • @StupidChicagoPunk your an idiot they arent sell outs just because they become successful and are getting free publicity and free promotions without those big corporations you would probably have never even heard of the current bands you listen to

  • @jdmchoes92 listen to the diferences in their music now and the music when they started. if you pay attention, you will notice that their musical style arcs around the time they start getting money. they sold out their soun to become emo (at that time better known as goth).

    awaiting your reply, Matt

  • @StupidChicagoPunk fuck you they didnt sell out they grew up i hate when ppl just assume because a band has changed tht they're sell outs.

  • @StupidChicagoPunk if AFI Sold out green day sold out.

  • @beensandfranks if green day sold out, then zeppelin sold out.

  • @StupidChicagoPunk Exactly.

  • @StupidChicagoPunk how did Zeppelin sell out they're style of music wasn't changed due to becoming popular they did out of experimentation

  • @Traductus5972 believe it or not, that's how Green Day was. I don't think that Green Day sold out, i just think tht the direction that they went in sucked. they actually tried to move away frm "punk" pretenses anyway.

  • @StupidChicagoPunk Green Day definatly didn't sell out, as selling out is doing something just for money. Green Day just moved in a different direction since they wanted to make more music.

  • @EmoKidRH that is exactly whti said to the last person who commented on Green Day. it just so happens tha the direction thy went in sucks.

  • @StupidChicagoPunk Read the book 'gimme something better' and then you can tell me that Green day sold out. :|

  • @beensandfranks IS ANYONE READING THESE BEFORE THEY POST? I KNOW THEY DIDN"T SELL OUT! it jus so happens that green day moved in a shity direction with their music for a good cause!

  • god i want a mohawk....

  • I havent heard this song in a really long time...this band used to be one of the best around.

  • This is AFI.

  • is this kid really ten years old???

  • nope, just the lyrics says, but the singer has surely thin voice

  • fuckin dumbass

  • this song was dedicated to Davey's lil bro when he was ten

  • It is I wanna pierce my nose.

  • they wernt really never punk but they were amazing

  • i can find the song 'punk nation unifacatio' by them to download....does any1 no if it has a diffrent title?

  • wow they used to be like legendary well im not gonna say what i think of them now but this is wow

  • TOTAL SELLOUTS. but holy crap they used to be a great punk band before they got all emo-ish. I still love thier old stuff

  • I love there old stuff, but now they're sell outs.

  • Not sell outs, just different. People are allowed to change their style, and so are bands!

  • yea but there new stuff is still shit

  • not for profit anyways.

  • writing style changed, for the worse

  • woah i knew AFI for their song Miss Murder and this is wayyyy different. i guess bands' older music is usually always better. \: at least in my opinion.

  • dude od afi was the shit..they selled out and turn fucking emo..maybe for the money???because they give a rats ass about the music ..since they dont care anymore and they go with the trend.

  • i love the old AFI

  • uh excuse me? how are they posers?

  • AWEOSOME I LIKE THE OLD AFI

  • this song sounds like Craig from Southpark singing it

  • Dude i loved their first cd...they are shitty now in my opinion..but man they were good back in the day...what happened?? :(

  • i wanna hear this song sped up

  • This is my favorite A.F.I song, I wish they were punk again and not sad emo dudes lol, but hey shit happens. Thier still cool as shit

  • dude they were punk.

    good job.

  • i love afi i love davey havok

  • Not to be disrespectful at all, but what happened to them?

like, anyone can obviously see the huge difference in their style from then, and now.

  • they deffinatly did NOT sell out. i just think their own tastes in music changed. like it was progessional in the art of drowing, and sunk a little more in in sing the sorrow. then december underground was their changing point. i know he still loves hardcore though. just type in "ceremony davey havok" its an awesome video (especially is your straight edge ;D)

  • Right on! I dont think theyre sellouts but their new style of music just isnt me. I was brought on the first 5 AFI cds, but its a shame the band doesnt even acknowledge them on their website! Whats that about?

  • Yeah, I didn't mean they sold out, I think a lot of people see bands trying to get their message out further, and think that they are selling out.

I think selling out, is doing things just for the money, that you're going to use for personal things, selling lunchboxes, watches, action figures, clocks, christmas special, that's pushing it a little far, not to point any fingers (*cough* KISS *cough*)

  • Hey, KISS made good music and they made a shit load of money.

    Dont be a jealous prick.

  • Lol, I never said they didn't make good music, but come on, look at all the merchandise they had, and now Gene Simmons with that reality show, ugh.

  • ahh, the old AFI

  • i love this song<3

    Daveys so cute(:

writing songs for his brother like this(:

  • um your wrong davey's lyrics are very meaningfull you clearly dont listen to afi

  • old AFI sounds better and is punk which is sweet but the lyrics just have way less meaning. Newer stuff is way more creative and influential, but it is way too emo and mainstream

  • Afi, System Of A Down, and My Chemical Romance are my fovorite bands.

  • I love system of a down!

  • I never in my life thought any of those bands would be mentioned in the same sentence. -_-"

  • you're 10?
