@PowerfulProducti0nz I do stand for what i said but ya Arma 2 OA campaing is a bit odd, When i first tried it it launched Arma 2 campaing and not OA and it continued to do so for over a month but than suddenly it started working... fucked up right.

The worse thing about OFP2 is that the boats are waaay to slow. You can run faster than they can drive. Another thing that bugs the crap out of me is that the iron sights on vehicles are ALWAYS on you cant look over the turret.

well, I think that when you succesfully complete a mission on this game, it gives you a really satisfying feeling...... but I think the thing that gets this game down... is amazingly and in a way, the graphics. I think that the draw distance is no way near good enough. But having said that I think that at times the graphics are also truly stunning! But the graphics really don't matter.... its a war simulator in a way. THe realism is just amazing! and its soooo full filling!

i like the realism, ur right that if it got too realistic it would suck, but it's not too realistic. u can get shot in the leg and still walk around. but i like the fact that u have to stay behind cover and u can tell your men to flank or move them into combat spread. it just seems so much better than run through a base and kill 150 soldiers all by yourself.

ARMA, was a fail too. These people just cant produce a game. They make it too demanding for people to play. Personally, i can run at top graphics (6GB Ram, quad-core 2.66ghz, 5870 factory OC) but my ASUS G2 cant play it at all.

am one of the huge fan of OFP but i got big disappointed such as let down! after waiting for 3 years!..

Pro: graphic is massively awesome especially full setting..

Con: countless bugs that need to fix such as many AI are stupid,they shouldn't include more stuff at mission editor they remove civilians and others,doors cannot be closed after opening it,some animations are sux,gameplay should be improved,vehicle handling very sensitive,..its not what you expecting from developers comment.

ArmA 2 is the spiritual successor of Operation Flashpoint 1, both games made by Bohemia Interactive btw. ArmA 2 you should have waited for if you are a huge fan of original Flashpoint. But good thing that you go with ArmA 2 because it's really the "little brother" of OFP.

Firing a gun for real is different to in a "game" one is real and tests your physical and mental skill one is moving a mouse. As a shooter and hunter i can tell you it is nothing like a game. And as for soldiering, bravery under fire can not be simulated. You have to be brave to put yourself in that sort of position much less to fight in it a game will not train you. That is what training is given to you for.

It's not about being smarter or pc gamers vs console gamers. OFP an Arma are 2 games that have many layers of control. Typically console games don't go into that gaming style much and often PC games don't either. I have played both OFP and Arma and it requires patience to get to a level where you can play normally. I'm not even talking about being good at the game.

With OFP2 looks like they are going to make it a bit easier to master.

I agree with 2spittingcobras. I played OFP 1 for many years on PC because of the MODs. you can script, create in editor very cool scenarios for missions. ofc you can do it in console but you lack of copy/paste, quick editing with mouse, keyboard, scripting.. etc. I had so much fun with the mission creating in OFP 1. My pc was not as powerful at the beginning, but as I got new pc's I always used one mission I created as benchmark with hundreds of soldiers to test how much better my new pc is.

Far Cry 2, Halo 3, The first flashpoint for the original console. The Flashpoint and ArmA series have been noted for the Map editors. It would be stupid for them not to have one. They had it for the original Flashpoint on consoles. Also I never said alot of games have map editors "dumbshit".

If your suggesting that console gamers have a lower IQ than PC gamers, you can think again. PC's are not suited for all of us you know, i used to be a PC gamer but converted to 360 because PC's have a shoddy online community nowhere near as good as xbox live and im not a geeky person who knows all the PC requirements needed to run demanding games like OFP2.
