  • Maravilloso!!!! Gracias por subir este video, Felicitaciones al coro!!! Gran soprano! Me encantaría tener comunicación con este coro y quizá compartir partituras de mi país. Me podrán regalar un e-mail donde comunicarme con ellos???

  • Listen to the Moses Hogan Choir do this ... also very good.

  • Oh wow...one of my favorite spirituals and the soloist is absolutely astounding. I had tears in my eyes by the end. THANK YOU for posting!! Without a doubt the most moving and musical of any version I've heard!!

  • omg gave me goosebumps and made me cry so beautiful

  • Beautiful!

  • Wow. What a beautiful rendition. Thanks for posting this.

  • It's funny that I have always thought of this song as a Negroe Spiritual..... It is beautiful and soulful no matter who sings it, I just always associated it with the struggle of my people. But then again I know in my heart that all music runs through vocalist and musicians and truly belongs to no one being.... spirit in and of itself rises above our earthly beings...it just elevates

    Thank you for this rendition.

  • i don't know how to thank you so much for saying that.

  • Bravissimo!

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!!

  • THAT was pretty much amazing! Ms. Sheila does an awesome job on the solo. Wow. The really clean high note at the end....nice.

    I love it!

  • galing ni tcher sheila! hi i am andrew rivera i am also one of her students. wow nmn proud!hehe!

  • Nice...

  • What a beautiful and moving rendition of this spiritual. I was in tears and it made me want Jesus to Walk with Me. And I am a Jew....

  • lmao sure you are

  • The comment was not meant to elicit any religious sarcasm. It is a beautiful song. Something that is beautiful is beautiful whether it comes from a Jew, a Muslim or a Christian. These spirituals were composed in the face of immense oppression and dehumanization. As a relative of survivors of The Shoah I have no problem being moved to tears by this spiritual. I think Jews and African-Americans have a similar history. The Middle Passage was a lot like Dachau, Treblinka or Auschwitz.

  • it sounds good but you see im an atheist

  • @diddykongfu u cant be that much one if you listening to this your still bless

  • @don77sicily so you have to be a certain religion to like religious music lol

  • @diddykongfu ooh no if you like it you got god in ur heart

  • @don77sicily i respect your beliefs but i am an atheist i like all kinds of music including opera and soltian rap country hell i even like some pop but then again who doesnt

  • @diddykongfu cool

  • @diddykongfu ..religion is a dicipline - having a Spirit good or bad inside you is 100% different - it changes your responses to others for good or bad - only changing the spirit inside you can cause you to abandon the ones you love to be evil, or to abandon evil for the choice to be loving & kind - spirit is submission - dicipline is mental strength which can cause a form of accomplishment at the same time while losing the love that brings happiness, contentment & peace - completely different

  • Jameslopate - I agree with you in your comparison of the Jewish and African American journeys of sorrow. And this choir has done an immensely beautiful performance!
