I think folks are being hard on Mike Wallace. He's a great reporter, maybe better suited to public officials than entertainers, but his job is to push buttons. Not to fawn. If this guy and those like him didn't push buttons, we'd have another view of America in the 60s and 70s. That said, not sure what the point to pushing a star's buttons are, except maybe to get an interesting interview. More interesting than say, yeah, you're great! Thanks! I am!
Mike Wallace is a trip. He knew just what buttons to push. I like that this interview got us a chance to see Barbra's vulnerable and sensitive side. It shows she is human like the rest of us. I would really like to see the entire interview of this.

That's awful. He's treating her terribly. It makes my stomach clench and I'd like to punch him for making her cry like that. Ridiculous.
