OK I have always heard ppl rave about ROH and now everyone is saying about it's tv and it's going to dominate wrestling on tv ect ect....after seeing this match I think it will fail...What exactly makes this match any better than a match on SmackDown? It's dark, dingy and even it's few fans in the audience are shouting BORING from time to time....What exactly am I missing?...

@MizfitZer0 this is only a small midcard match, not every match can be amazing. they wouldn't put their best shit on youtube for free, that would be ridiculous. Their best matches are on dvd and tv. these matches are just a "taste" of roh so new fans can see what roh is like and want to see more. also, you have probobly heard roh is amazing from beginning to end but its not, normally there is a fun match, a few decent midcard matches like this, and 2 or 3 great to "OMG 5 star amazing" matches.

That's my main beef too, ROH looks too dark and dingy, the product is amazing, especially live, if you've never seen ROH live, I have twice (Driven and the most recent Chicago show) and they were both amazing live. I had to drive 6 hours, but it was well worth it.

This Dover show looks fuggin' sweet though, they need to try to make each venue look like this.

Well, they got lucky with Dover, and with the Hammerstein. Both of those venues are primarily theatres, so acoustics and lighting are all good. It's when they're in places like the Frontier Fieldhouse and Case Gym where it gets interesting...

they just need some more lights, like keep those lights around the entrance and have like mini spotlights (like the wrestlemania lights) and put more lighting up the scaffolding for their lights and it'd be fine. They just don't have enough lights around the side, I guess they're afraid you'll see the tin walls and know they're indy.

the right investor has nothing to do with ratings, ROH the way it is WON'T draw ratings, which means it wouldn't keep a deal, unless they changed how they ran their promotion. Believe it or not, most people don't want to see pro wrestling the way that ROH is, just the hardcore wrestling fans, which there aren't enough of us to support a mainstream promotion. I like ROH the way it is.

They've got television deals with Samurai TV, The Wrestling Channel, and The Fight Network. That puts them on TV in Japan, Canada, and the UK.

TFN is in talks with many cable providers to get on US television by 2009.

That would put ROH on TV, here in the US.

it would have a better feeling than watchin it from a DVD or from PPV when u know it was taped months ago before it aired. i dont mind watchin a product with great wrestling and some entertainment. im sure there are networks that wont change their style.
