I'm not going to address your cliched metaphor. It's lost its impact and fervor!
@odinata You are a liar with your continual barrage of false accusations of lying. Just because you don't understand what I said doesn't make me a liar. The pressures involved at 100 G's are enormous, and the pressures can be measured in kilopascals. It was a sarcastic remark to emphasize my point.
The fluid column in the test tube in the centrifuge is 1cm so at 100 x g the pressure at he bottom of the fluid column due to the mass of the fluid column at 100 x g is multiplied by 100.
@wazooloo - You are correct. A failure in communication does by necessity make you a liar. However, established paleontologists and creationist leaders alike have openly question the authenticity of the Delk Footpirints and associated claims involving the Glen Rose area. You have acted as if these people do not exist, but we have their statements in writing. Confession is good for the soul Ian. It is time for you to admit the Delk Prints aren't as authentic as you believed.
@wazooloo No Ian, x g is an expression of free fall acceleration due to gravity.
An object can be subjected to 100G in a vacuum. pressure is independent of this
The pressure exerted on the yeast at the bottom of the 1cm fluid column would be multiplied by 100 due to the mass of the column but external pressure on the column would be unchanged
The yeast would be subjected to water pressure at 1m depth for 10 seconds which is an increase of 100N/m2 or 0.01bar or 0.14psi and is negligible
Let's not forget that selective pressure--like peer pressure--is not measured in psi, miilibars, or kilopascals, and that claiming "Actually, the selective pressure was measured in kilopascals" is basically a blatant lie.
OMG! I TOTALLY believe that a big guy with a beard who lives in the sky created everything in 6 days and didn't give the only 2 people on earth clothes.
Juby tried to pass this controversy off as if I was a lone wolf, fabricating materials. That was his mistake. Over the past week, I have shown there is a basis for questioning the authenticiy of claims made Juby and his friend Baugh through reports by established paleontologists and even fellow creationists, each questioning the authenticity. Moreover we examined the CT scan Juby attempted to us and showed it to be inadequate and failed to move forward in 4 years, Juby you sir are a fruad.
Christians can not show physical proof of God, or the act of creation, but an atheist cant show an atom coming into existence from nothing! and then exploding into everything! Both sides require FAITH!!
@5tonyvvvv Technical point: atoms do not come into existence; particles (such as electrons and quarks) do.
Bigger point: a consistent and predictable model of the big bang deals with time after 10^-43 sec. Before that, quantum fluctuations are another potential and consistent explanation. No faith required.
@abrider107 Plenty of faith is required for the cosmos to form itself! Stars require pre existing stars!! This is what changed Francis collins. Also how about life from non life?
@5tonyvvvv I did answer your questions. Motion comes form energy which may come from the fluctuation. This might not be right, but is a consistent and predictable postulate.
I am not a biologist and cannot reliably comment on RH vs LH DNA. This does not mean it is not explainable, just that I do not know. There is a difference.
@5tonyvvvv I did answer this. The energy came from quantum fluctuations. Once again, I cannot guarantee this is right, but it is consistent with observation, and is very predictable. No magic man in the sky required.
@5tonyvvvv The big bang does not need energy as it is possible for the sum total amount of energy in the universe to be zero. Juby covered this a few weeks back.
@paulchartley "The big bang does not need energy" Thats a ridiculous atheist assumption! And you think you know more than Francis Collins! You MORON! Are you the head of the Human genome project? Collins has studied all fields of science! And accepts a Creator for the Cosmos!
@5tonyvvvv Firstly, what does the big bang have to do with evolutionary biology?
Secondly, is Francis Collins an astrophysicist? You haven't answered me on that. Why would a geneticist be an authority on astrophysics?
Thirdly, You seem to think that Collins did all the work himself on the HGP. He was the administrator at the head of a huge international team of scientists doing gene sequencing so his religious views are an irrelevance
@paulchartley Atheists often do this make up there rules, and try to distance things like the Big bang and homochirality! Also Tell me your credentials? Are you an expert on genetics or astrophysics? Plenty of astrophysics believe in a creator of the cosmos! Are you calling Collins a fool? and Teams of people help all scientists you dummy! Whats your point? Have you ever worked in a laboratory or worked for NASA?
@paulchartley Actually they do, read some of his books on the language of INFORMATION found in DNA and proteins!! Read up on homochirality! I earned a masters in chemistry from ohio state. I came across plenty of PhD level scientists that accept a creator, Including Raymond damadian, Jerry bergman, and Jason Lisle PhD astrophysicists.
@abrider107 Exactly! So why should we believe atheism 100 percent truth? You people dismiss Francis collins because he believes the cosmos was created. So he's not a real scientist? Only atheists can be real scientists? Yeah ok. Atheist MORONS!
@paulchartley Collins credentials are insane!! This man works in state of the art facilities! Knows and works with people in all fields of science!! Including astrophysics, biologists, and biochemists! And believes in a creator!!!
@5tonyvvvv Collins is a science administrator who is good at running big science projects.
I've worked in big science and the project administrators rarely get involved with the actual hard work. They understand the science but the thinking and hard work is done by the science teams.
Just because he heads up big science projects does not make him an expert in the science involved or his religious views relevant.
Seriously, it's very obvious that you have no idea how real science works
@5tonyvvvv That the big bang does not need energy is a well-established and very plausible scenario. The universe may exist in a zero energy state and local quantum fluctuations provide the observable part.
That Collins is religious is irrelevant. The views of any one individual are not important. If you wish to trot out a list of religious scientists, another (longer) list of atheist scientists can be found. This proves nothing.
@abrider107 Man can engineer molecules! It shows how it takes INTELLIGENCE in controlled laboratory conditions to mimic, manipulate, plagiarize a cell's Design! Scientists COPY genetic sequences!! They dont create anything!!
Its all Man made Synthetic chemistry! and it has nothing to do with the origin of life!! Homochirality is a disaster for any sort of naturalistic origins! There is no demonstrated source for such non-racemic mixture of sugars in any plausible pre-biotic environment!
@TheScienceFoundation Stop lying you fucking MORON!! There is no demonstrated source for such non-racemic mixture of sugars in any plausible pre-biotic environment!!!!! If you want to talk about what goes on in controlled laboratories where trained chemists are synthesizing and copying genetic material. That has nothing to do with origin of life!!!
@5tonyvvvv You keep confusing your stupidity for me somehow lying.
Circular polarity affects chirality, remaining ignorant of this fact does not make it go away. Keep that in mind every time you make this pathetic argument, you're having to shut out basic facts of organic chemistry.
@TheScienceFoundation Then lets see a protein form from amino acids you dumb fuck!! Circular polarity still produces Racemic mixtures!! and even if you had all LEFT handed amino acids there would be no INFORMATION!!! No ORGANIZATION!!!! Stop lying you fucking MORON!!
@5tonyvvvv Please review the comments and you will find that you are the only one here swearing and calling people names. There is no need for that in a reasonable debate. Please stop.
My view is that just because we do not know how something (abiogenesis) happened does not mean it could not happen. I am glad that science searches for natural explanations, and thus makes significant progress. For example, penicillin would not have been developed without searching for natural causes of disease.
@5tonyvvvv No problem pushing required. Particles have motion as a measure of their internal energy and expressed as their temperature. Initial energy levels are a function of the size of the proposed quantum fluctuation that brought them into existence. This does not have to be correct, but is a consistent explanation. No magic men in the sky required.
@abrider107 Homochirality is a disaster for naturalistic origins. All amino acids in proteins are 'LEFT-handed', while all sugars in DNA and RNA, and in the metabolic pathways, are 'RIGHT-handed'. Chirality!
A 50/50 mixture of left- and right-handed forms is called a racemate or racemic mixture!!. Which life can't use!! Its what we see in nature and in labs!
Life never came about by time chance natural processes! IMPOSSIBLE!!!
@5tonyvvvv Repulsive forces, magnetism, and the fact that they act as waves, the Pauli exclusion principle, etc... Sorry, it's well understood. You think it's pushing the problem elsewhere because 'science is hard...'
@CodeSculptor "Repulsive forces, magnetism answers" NOTHING! What set these forces? Atoms never just come into existence! and life coming from chemicals is IMPOSSIBLE!! learn Homochirality!
@5tonyvvvv Did a brief search on this. Erives (2011) has shown that homochirality and pacRNA autogeneration and consistent with typical models of abiogenesis.
@abrider107 Yeah "typical models of abiogenesis" ASSUMPTIONS! Homochirality is a disaster for any sort of naturalistic origins! There is no demonstrated source for such non-racemic mixture of sugars in any plausible pre-biotic environment!
@abrider107 LOL, Not even close moron!! "This engineered RNA" would break down do to the unstable conditions of it..similar to rats leaving a sinking ship..This artificial RNA..has ZERO chance of further evolving into a living cell.
Activated subunits are used along with templates taken from living sources..its not a geochemical relevant reaction!
@abrider107 Which would never occur on a primordial earth..these experiments are carefully controlled ..These reactions would NEVER occur on an early earth! All these scientists are showing is that it takes INTELLIGENCE to COPY and Synthesize genetic material!!!
@5tonyvvvv Be careful in saying never. Neither you nor I were around in the early earth.
I am just saying that it is possible to explain homochirality by naturalistic means. This does not make it true. But does provide a reasonable explanation of the natural world without resorting to the supernatural.
"No, bacteria exhibit ACTUAL, real-time intelligence. I'm not necessarily saying that they were intelligently designed, that is still up for debate."
Morris also wrote: "The various controversial prints labeled as human by Carl Baugh in recent years are of uncertain origin, and at best are not comparable in quality to prints at the sites discussed above, thereby providing no support for the original position. Earlier prints which had been removed from the river before being documented, even if genuine, cannot be considered as compelling evidence, in view of their uncertain source."
Do you care to comment? Ian, you are a fruad. Case closed
Ian, John Morris - the Presidernt of ICR - wrote "We stand committed to truth, and will gladly modify or abandon our previous interpretation of the Paluxy data as the facts dictate."
Now Ian, it seems to me, the problem begins with your fellow creos. Answers in Genesis and ICR do not support you. It seems to me that you have bigger problems.
Ian come clean. Those fossils are fakes No one, not creationists or rational reality supporter agrees with you.
Ken Ham wrote in 2003 on Paluxy "In 1986 a number of leading creationist researchers decided that the evidence of supposedly human and dinosaur footprints, found together at the Paluxy River in Texas, had serious problems. They decided that, pending further research to establish the correct interpretation of the prints, they could no longer be safely used as evidence supporting the fact (based on the biblical account of creation) that man and dinosaur lived at the same time." Care to comment?
You want obvious proof of evolution? How about simpler fossils as we look at older rocks with no evidence of modern day species, species that look as if they share common ancestors and have similar DNA, genetic throwbacks in species, adaptation in species to environments and etc etc
Whooey! He's a PHD in ma book any day! I bet its nothing more than a gut feelin' to be eaten all that BBQ! The animals are here for us to slaughter and eat! Praise Jesus and may your channel expose those evil evo people my brother in Christ. AMEN!!!
When you look at evolution as if it is false "because it's just a theory", you're looking at it the wrong way. Because like gravity, the theory of evolution, isn't a question about it happening or not. We KNOW that evolution happens. The theory in evolution is only the explanation of how it works.
@lawilson200 my point in bringing up the Mariana trench and Mid-ocean ridge is that is were the water came from to laydown sediment that fossilized the creatures. you are making yourself sound ignorant.
@animefan2k9 Are you trying to sound relevant WSG? Or perhapsWSHT?
If you want to address plate tectonics, then spend sometime learning it. The mid-ocean ridges is where fresh magma is generated. But, not all plate boundaries have formed trenches
Yes, water is also subducted. The minerals in water is how granite and other minerials formed. Instead of parroting failed creos, try to learn something WSG.
@lawilson200 i understand plate tectonics. it all started when water erupted from under the crust of the earth during noah flood. it could be a huge comet flew to close to the earth that started the flood.
@animefan2k9 Wrong my white supremist gremlin. Even mainstream creo groups recgonized that Brown's hydroplate theoy is unrealistic. Under Brown's idea you don't need a flood. Everything, including those on the so-called Ark would been nuked to death with excessive heat. This is the main reason none of the creo attempts to counter plate tectonic never works. You got to something with all that heat that is generated. 21,000 joules, it is hotter than the sun!
@animefan2k9 the earth is not an enclosed greenhouse. we don't know what the pre flood world was like. the water from the flood is still here in the oceans. the ocean floor drop by a mile at the end of the global flood. evidence for a global flood is world wide.
@animefan2k9 Incorrect my WSG. The amount of heat generated in such a short period of time would not be ventillated into space. Phyics does not work that way.
@animefan2k9 Actually this is not an issue of global warming my WSG. Water deep within the earth is under extreme temperatures and pressures. For it to "erupt" like Brown wants, would result in the release as steam and under increddible temperatures, The rest is pure math WSG.
@lawilson200 i'm talking about super-critical water. A remarkable characteristic of supercritical fluids is that a small decrease in pressure produces a gigantic increase in volume—and cooling. So, as the SCW flowed toward the base of the rupture, its pressure dropped and the vapor portion expanded and cooled to an extreme extent
IDvolution is a better solution. Life is front loaded.

@odinata You are a liar with your continual barrage of false accusations of lying. Just because you don't understand what I said doesn't make me a liar. The pressures involved at 100 G's are enormous, and the pressures can be measured in kilopascals. It was a sarcastic remark to emphasize my point.

"The pressures involved at 100 G's are enormous..."
--Ian Juby
odinata 1 month ago
@odinata its actually 0.01bar or 0.14psi
The fluid column in the test tube in the centrifuge is 1cm so at 100 x g the pressure at he bottom of the fluid column due to the mass of the fluid column at 100 x g is multiplied by 100.
Its really simple maths and physics
paulchartley 1 month ago
@wazooloo - You are correct. A failure in communication does by necessity make you a liar. However, established paleontologists and creationist leaders alike have openly question the authenticity of the Delk Footpirints and associated claims involving the Glen Rose area. You have acted as if these people do not exist, but we have their statements in writing. Confession is good for the soul Ian. It is time for you to admit the Delk Prints aren't as authentic as you believed.
lawilson200 1 month ago
@wazooloo 100G's isn't particularly that great and it didn't involve the centrifuge producing multi-cellularity as you implied at least twice.
TheScienceFoundation 1 month ago
@TheScienceFoundation
The main point here is that 100 g's ISN't a "pressure".
Its a force.
When Juby claimed that the study measured the "pressure" that the centrifuge imparted, he was obviously lying--he knew the study made no such claim.
odinata 1 month ago
@wazooloo No Ian, x g is an expression of free fall acceleration due to gravity.
An object can be subjected to 100G in a vacuum. pressure is independent of this
The pressure exerted on the yeast at the bottom of the 1cm fluid column would be multiplied by 100 due to the mass of the column but external pressure on the column would be unchanged
The yeast would be subjected to water pressure at 1m depth for 10 seconds which is an increase of 100N/m2 or 0.01bar or 0.14psi and is negligible
paulchartley 1 month ago
@paulchartley to put 0.01bar into perspective...
0.01bar = 10millibar and 10millibar is less than the atmospheric pressure difference between a sunny and a rainy day
Seriously Ian, the weather has a larger pressure effect than the centrifuge does
paulchartley 1 month ago
@paulchartley
Let's not forget that selective pressure--like peer pressure--is not measured in psi, miilibars, or kilopascals, and that claiming "Actually, the selective pressure was measured in kilopascals" is basically a blatant lie.

Christians can not show physical proof of God, or the act of creation, but an atheist cant show an atom coming into existence from nothing! and then exploding into everything! Both sides require FAITH!!
5tonyvvvv 1 month ago
@5tonyvvvv Technical point: atoms do not come into existence; particles (such as electrons and quarks) do.
Bigger point: a consistent and predictable model of the big bang deals with time after 10^-43 sec. Before that, quantum fluctuations are another potential and consistent explanation. No faith required.
abrider107 1 month ago
@abrider107 Plenty of faith is required for the cosmos to form itself! Stars require pre existing stars!! This is what changed Francis collins. Also how about life from non life?

@5tonyvvvv No faith required. Star formation is well-defined by theory and confirmed by observation.

5tonyvvvv 1 month ago
@5tonyvvvv I did answer your questions. Motion comes form energy which may come from the fluctuation. This might not be right, but is a consistent and predictable postulate.
I am not a biologist and cannot reliably comment on RH vs LH DNA. This does not mean it is not explainable, just that I do not know. There is a difference.
abrider107 1 month ago
@abrider107 Thats just it!! Where did Atheists get there Energy from! For the Big bang! Watch this, Francis Collins interview 2.flv
5tonyvvvv 1 month ago
@5tonyvvvv I did answer this. The energy came from quantum fluctuations. Once again, I cannot guarantee this is right, but it is consistent with observation, and is very predictable. No magic man in the sky required.
abrider107 1 month ago
@5tonyvvvv The big bang does not need energy as it is possible for the sum total amount of energy in the universe to be zero. Juby covered this a few weeks back.
Is Francis Collins a theoretical physicist?
paulchartley 1 month ago
@paulchartley "The big bang does not need energy" Thats a ridiculous atheist assumption! And you think you know more than Francis Collins! You MORON! Are you the head of the Human genome project? Collins has studied all fields of science! And accepts a Creator for the Cosmos!
5tonyvvvv 1 month ago
@5tonyvvvv Firstly, what does the big bang have to do with evolutionary biology?
Secondly, is Francis Collins an astrophysicist? You haven't answered me on that. Why would a geneticist be an authority on astrophysics?
Thirdly, You seem to think that Collins did all the work himself on the HGP. He was the administrator at the head of a huge international team of scientists doing gene sequencing so his religious views are an irrelevance
paulchartley 1 month ago
@paulchartley Atheists often do this make up there rules, and try to distance things like the Big bang and homochirality! Also Tell me your credentials? Are you an expert on genetics or astrophysics? 5tonyvvvv 1 month ago
@5tonyvvvv That doesn't make a creator scientific by association.
TheScienceFoundation 1 month ago
@5tonyvvvv Collins is a science administrator who is good at running big science projects.
I've worked in big science and the project administrators rarely get involved with the actual hard work. They understand the science but the thinking and hard work is done by the science teams.
Just because he heads up big science projects does not make him an expert in the science involved or his religious views relevant.
Seriously, it's very obvious that you have no idea how real science works
paulchartley 1 month ago
@5tonyvvvv That the big bang does not need energy is a well-established and very plausible scenario. The universe may exist in a zero energy state and local quantum fluctuations provide the observable part.
That Collins is religious is irrelevant. The views of any one individual are not important. If you wish to trot out a list of religious scientists, another (longer) list of atheist scientists can be found. This proves nothing.

When you look at evolution as if it is false "because it's just a theory", you're looking at it the wrong way. Because like gravity, the theory of evolution, isn't a question about it happening or not. We KNOW that evolution happens. The theory in evolution is only the explanation of how it works.

If you want to address plate tectonics, then spend sometime learning it. The mid-ocean ridges is where fresh magma is generated. But, not all plate boundaries have formed trenches
Yes, water is also subducted. The minerals in water is how granite and other minerials formed. Instead of parroting failed creos, try to learn something WSG.
lawilson200 1 month ago
@lawilson200 i understand plate tectonics. it all started when water erupted from under the crust of the earth during noah flood. it could be a huge comet flew to close to the earth that started the flood.
animefan2k9 1 month ago
@animefan2k9 Wrong my white supremist gremlin. Even mainstream creo groups recgonized that Brown's hydroplate theoy is unrealistic. Under Brown's idea you don't need a flood. Everything, including those on the so-called Ark would been nuked to death with excessive heat. This is the main reason none of the creo attempts to counter plate tectonic never works. You got to something with all that heat that is generated. 21,000 joules, it is hotter than the sun!
