I love this episode for so many reasons:

1) The music is amazing and each and every episode is improving.

2) Jake's voice has gotten stronger since the very first episode!

3) I love the Little Women (especially in the Takin' Off Reprise), Millie, Wicked, and Sound of Music references. :)

4) The fake diploma in the doctor's office..

5) Sutton Foster, Caissie Levy, and Shoshana Bean in the same episode!!!! AMAZING!!!

i don't know if this is right but i think what they did was find an area in nyc that had a lot of trees and film her parts there. i didnt see any palm trees in the background of her shots. so i think she was in nyc, they just tried to make it seem like LA. make sense? lol but that is my guess...she could have been in LA since she recorded it. who knows...

That's how they do all musicals. Record the music than play it as they record the actual film. You can't sing it all the time especially since movies have several takes, you'd get breathless very fast.
