how true that is...but you see there are so many kind of organisations which want to help and if there is that much help, why does nothing get better then?? Leuk filmpje, Wij hebben op school dat als je bijvoorbeeld geen Geodriehoek bij je hebt ofzo, je een zakje mag lenen waar dat allemaal in zit voor 20 cent, en dat geld gaat dan naar Unicef, vorig jaar hadden we met de school 350 euro opgehaald.!

KD you say throwing money at a problem doesnt help. and that they are content with their circumstances. In the video it said 3000 kids die everyday because of starvation. Im pretty sure money can help in this problem. i dont think 3000 kids are content with dying. im totally down with saving lives. count me in.

we need to be grateful for the blessings that we have. we do not need to sacrifice all of our things for people in 3rd world countries. throwing money at a problem like this doesn't help. people in 3rd world countries are content with their circumstances. they do not know anything different. we need to teach them practical skills like staying clean, keeping bugs away, and proper house building. the thing is, what they do is part of their culture. it is very hard to make a significant change.

Ondanks dat goede doelen opgericht zijn als - zo zegt de naam het - een goed doel, zijn ze te groot geworden. Als er zoveel geld binnenkomt bij zulke grote organisaties, kost het ook véél geld voor personeel dat in principe niet nodig is (zoals (fulltime) directeurs, managers). Kleinere projecten waarbij je echt resultaten te zien krijgt zijn dan beter.

just think of how much food north americans waste each day..

Er zijn natuurlijk ook factoren waar wij geen invloed op hebben.Denk maar aan de abiotische factioren. Wat dacht je van het klimaat? Er heerst daar een ontzettende droogte. Deze boeren hebben hier erg last van. Er zou nooit zoveel geproduceerd kunnen worden, er groeit niets op het land want het is ontzettend onvruchtbaar.

3 maar ook de wereldpolitiek is in deze kwestie van groot belang. De houding van de ontwikkelde landen tegenover deze derde wereld landen mag drastisch veranderd worden. Er wordt misbruik gemaakt (denk aan multinationals)van de inwoners (arbeid).. er wordt daar veel afval gedumpt. Het bestuur van deze landen is ook niet om over te spreken, de regering zou meer moeten investeren in duurzame oplossingen . Ook zou de regering betere voorlichting moeten geven, over ziekten o.a.

De laatste tijd raak ik gerriteerd omdat mensen zo veeeeel kopen. Overconsumptie.. elke 3 maanden een nieuwe telefoon.

Koop wat je nodig hebt, niet meer. Genoeg is genoeg.

Maar ik heb ook kritiek op Unicef. Ik snap dat je bedoeling goed is. Maar unicef is zo corrupt. Als ik jou was zou ik je geld de volgende keer doneren aan een kleinschalige non-profit organisatie. Het is beschamend hoe ontzettend rijk de topmensen van Unicef zijn... er zit daar zo veel geld in de organisatie en in al het personeel.. Bij een kleinschalerige organisatie is daar geen sprake van en dan gaat zo veel mogelijk geld naar waar het voor bestemd is. (deel 2 komt zo)
