@iDrUmMeR4L actually anthrax wanted john to come back and be part of the band but john didn't want to and they needed a singer so he played some shows with them but left so anthrax got joey

Back in the Among the Living days Charlie used a danmar red ball wood beater. quite likely he's still using the same thing nowadays.

@OGTheDemon they look like red wooden mallets. I use to use those back when i would play. I got the idea from watching Anthrax's home video oidivnickufecin. They seemed to work for me but that was a long time ago.

@MetalKhaos I was not disappointed either, everyone sounded great! And, yes, that was Mike Portnoy sitting behind Charlie. Eddie Trunk from TMS was also there.

@Toejam08872 Yeah everyone sounded awesome that night. I have to think that was one of, if not the, best Starland show I've seen over many a year. Gene Hoglin was a special treat as I didn't expect him to be doing the set with Testament. A little disappointing that Portnoy didn't hop up on the drums himself at some point haha.

@MetalKhaos I was hoping Mike would get up there, too. As for Gene, I knew he was playing the show... I read that this was the only show of the tour he was doing, and that John Tempesta has done everything else so far. Paul Bostaph has some injury and is out of commission for awhile.

this was in worcester right? I WAS IN THAT PIT FUCKIN AMAZING ME AND MY BEST FRIEND GOT THE MEET AND GREET YOU PROBABLY REMEMBER US WERE 15 they signed my vest and i told charlie it was signed by metallica too and he was like "who are they?" sarcasticly....joey hugged me too...best concert of my life charlie ive seen you guys 4 times jagermeister tour in scranton, big 4 in indio, big 4 at yankee stadium, and last night in worcester anthrax fan for life thanks for being a huge inspiration to me!
