  • Très jolie jig qui m'a donné envie de l'apprendre au tin whistle aussitôt que je l'ai entendue !!! Quel bonheur de voir le père et le fiston jouer ensemble... très émouvant, bravo à vous : 5 *****

(Very nice jig that made me want to learn it on my tin whistle as soon as I heard! What a joy to see the father and son play together ... very moving, bravo to you: 5 *****)

  • I just got a Burke whistle too! I love it so much. I'm just learning this tune. I heard it initially in my irish dance class and kinda fell in love with it. You do a great job!

  • Beautiful!

  • hi man great play , could you tell me where can I find the sheet for the whistle?

  • Cool! I've only heard this on fiddle, but it sounds great on whistle! You're a great player.

  • Nicely done. One of the first tunes I learned and thus it's one of my favorites!

  • nice jig. What tuning do your dad use?

  • It's very nice to hear your progress from a few months ago! Keep up the great work!

  • I Know this tune from somewhere, can't place where though. Very good job though. Are you guys from Cape Breton?

  • Nope. We are from Tennessee...so most people round here like both kinds a music -- country AND western!

  • ha that's a funny movie and do you have sheet music for this

  • @To2ndMars "In 1984 Dave Richardson of the Boys of the Lough composed a jig in E-Major which he named "Calliope House" in honor of this house and the good times he had here while performing in Pittsburgh with the Boys of the Lough. The house reminded him of a house of musicians in Newcastle, England."

See Calliope House dot org for more details.

  • @bigdjindustriez Maybe because the Waterboys play it at the end of "A man is in love"

  • @nonatopo Not sure what that is, but this is a VERY common tune here in Nova Scotia.

  • That was great. Your dad looks like he had more fun than you though.

  • Terrific jig. Very joyful playing. Congrats to you and your funny hat father :D

I'm going to learn this jig myself. Thanks!

  • so good to hear !!!
