this is very interesting, does the compulsion for writting come under ocd , is it to do with autism or is it a compulsion in its own right. well any ocd thing is but i don't know quite how to ask it?or yeah, what kind of disorder is his hypographia (sorry i don't know how to spell it)
He is absolutely wonderful! You are doing a fantastic job, and you are so patient.. I have a 3 yr old with autism so I can really relate.. we call him the 'destroyer' lol.. Keep it up,, it's videos like this that really help others!! :))
ToxicKisses315- Yes he has hypergraphia, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have Autism. He actually displays several characteristics of Autism and has more than likely been diagnosed. Just because you don't think he has Autism doesn't mean he doesn't.
People with autism spectrum dont look any different- Its NOT a disability is a different ability to learn. They are generally highly intelligent and very attractive in appearance. Love the idea behind this video

You know, there are at least two reasons why he uses his hands and those two could be, despite his ability to write, his motor skills may not be that good with respect to using eating utensils, and second, sometimes the metal scrapes teeth...horrible.
I'm sorry but I'm not a sufferer of Autism and I eat with my fingers....like really? Is it that essential to cause anymore stress to the little guy? Its hard enough for him as it is...let alone being further stressed by what is considered "normal" to the rest of society. If society thinks its strange to eat with your fingers...then you know where they can stick their heads.
hes doing a great job, my 3 yr old loves the ipad and she talks only when shes playing with that thing so I dont know what to do. she wont utter a word if she doesnt have her ipad
@anavywife28 Then build on that! A lot of children have that one thing that they seemingly can not do with out, maybe a teddy bear with one child, socks at the pool (my son) with another. She clearly has some thing that you can circle any treatment or therapy around.
Amazing progress...WOW!! did he ever have speech delays? I have a kid with autism so I was wondering if the ones with speech delays can progress so much like this little boy. Keep up the good job!!

@GhostWritersDragon I'm 25, autistic and eat with my fingers all the time. If I had parents like this boy has, I would probably simply stop eating.

For a natural and simple task, eating, parents of autistic children work very hard. Been there, done that
