This is so cruel - but in a good way - there is such innocence and truth in this video. How humbling. even with the awful camera handling, no film i have ever seen, and obviously no "reality" show, can compare to the true emotion packed into this 3 minute masterpiece. The part when the solo girl sings "you raise me UPPPP" i can cry every time. This is what music does. It is music, and music is art, and music is ilfe, and music is love. And this encompasses all of that. Thank you for this, and I hope these kids are inspired to show that love to the world for years to come.

can i curl up in the floor and cry...we are dedicating our graduation song to all of our 8th grade teachers and my principals and its in 2 months and 3 weeks and the entire grade is upset because we are the only class who has gotten along throughout all 3 years and our teacher has told us that we are the onlyones who have turelly grown through this incredible journey...let those kids know that when they move onto middle and high school they have so much more in store

i'm crying for 2 reasons -- the obvious one, and the fact that important programs like this, despite their relatively tiny cost, are at perpetual risk of extinction in our public schools, so a story like PS22's is the exception rather than the norm. all kids deserve this kind of experience, but most will never get it.

americans should be ashamed that we can't find the money to nurture this kind of magic, but can come up with trillions to bomb foreign countries or bail out dishonest bankers.

These children are so blessed to have such a dedicated and school system to keep music arts in the program. I grew up singing in years of public school choirs. There were times when the music that we were making literally brought tears to my eyes during the performance. Now the torch is passed onto these talented kids. And yes, they brought tears to my eyes during their performance. Long live the arts!
