  • The vocals remind me of Brian Eno. Me likey.

  • The Bats - I heard you at the ampitheatre at Canterbury University in 1985. You were on a boarded stage over the stream. You apologised for the wavering vocals - the boards were flexing so much it was making your mic wobble back and forth and you were worrried it was going to knock your teeth out - but you sounded fantastic. You said you had just come back from an overseas tour, supporting someone who told you to 'tone it down' because you were outplaying them - great times :-)

  • The Bats often remind me a bit of the Wedding Present

  • This band is awesome! Can't find too much for me now though...

  • I remember where I was that day ....with Weasel and a few other punks at the Unemployed Rights Centre upstairs in the Cashel Street Mall. We were waiting for the Double Happys to arrive and Johnny Leach came in ith the news. It was pretty shocking.

  • old skewl !!!!!

  • Paul & the Bats. You guys rock. I've seen you for years all over the country, and now that I'm in Vancouver all I have on my ipod is you guys, early JPSE and other flying nun bands. Cheers, as you know this is a crowd pleaser.

  • We're all looking a bit glum .. When we were making this video at the Flying Nun office in the Dominion Building overlooking Cathedral Sq. we heard the very sad news that Wayne Elsie from Double Happy (and the Stones) had been killed in a train accident. Wayne was a good friend who stayed with us when on tour - we should've put this videoing session to one side. Paul, The Bats

  • thanks for adding!!!
