@cbus03 I'm not really sure if i'm gonna be clear in my answer, as i don't know much about music, and i'm from Spain, but I'll try to do my best.
It is simple, i only use 5th string and 1st,2nd,3rd strings. Then in the chorus i use all of them.
To follow the rhythm, you play twice the 5th string and then 1,2,3 (at the same time) twice too. This is what are you goin' to do at the begining of each chord.
Then the rhythm is 5-(1,2,3) 5-(1,2,3) ... till you get to the chorus,
