  • My favorite performance of this on YouTube!!! Bravo!

  • What I miss is a standing ovation at the end of this fabulous performance.

    Tom Brier is outstanding!

  • @schrpnss No Standing Ovation.........Just several musicians winding down from the afternoon concert and just having fun in the Coffee Shop........Some of the patrons were eating and NOT even paying any attention :-) Yes Tom is outstanding! Thanks for the coment.. VBR

  • @schrpnss So glad you enjoyed it......Thank you for your thoughts/comment. VBR

  • man I wish we had this stuff around where I live.. too much mainstream music around these part.. I miss the west lol

  • @LudwigVonKoopa64 It is not mainstream here either.....Few festivals yearly, and in some nightspots a once a week evening gig is played......The music is still popular with a few of the masses but exposure is minimal and the big dollars and crowds that fill arenas and stadiums, are lacking. THose that love this music are rabid fans or musicians. To bad the stuff that makes big money is mostly crap, but gets the exposure!!! Thanks for looking. VBR

  • @verybigrifle I hear what you are saying however Its really strange but I've told many people and musician I play ragtime when they ask what kind of piano music I like.. and they reply "whats that?" and "you mean like.. the entertainer" eh... yaaa I guess... even the people who work at guitar center ain't familiar with the ragtime. lol

  • @LudwigVonKoopa64 You are so correct? I hear same, Ragtime, what's that? I say have you heard the "Sting?" I go that is one style of it but THAT KIND..... They go, OH Yeah! Or i say, every watch on Westerns Channel and old time western Movie? Saloon Background Music? Mostly "Honky Tonk" but a "Happy" music in similiar happy sounds. Most then say yes that is good music???? But NEVER seek it out ......Sad, but the ones still playing it keep it alive.... THanks for comments. VBR

  • I can attest to the fact that if well played and often, every six months is not too soon; I have all four of mine tuned for about $75 each, total $300, every 6 months, and they need it.

  • @sutterchip You are correct about the 6 months.......Look at the WCRF, they tune them twice daily. Before the music starts and around dinner time........BUt 14 hrs of continuous playing!!!!! $75 is cheap tune......Not here. THanks CHip for looking and commenting. VBR

  • I just love all the pianos he plays.. makes me jealous cause our piano wasn't played in years until I started taking up piano a year ago so it's SEVERELY out of tune :-(.

Other than that, that was a amazing little tune ;-).

  • @Chris246t8kr THere were 4 piano's played on this weekend. 2 in main old school museum, 1 afterhours coffee shop in evenings, and the small grand sunday in the church. Tom and Will BOTH said they liked this one here in the coffee shop best, for TONE and FEEL. Can't get YOUR piano tuned? No one close or money issues? For upright here is around $110 US and more fore a grand. And if yours not tuned for years, it will not hold tune well first time. Toms up tempo brings this tune out. Thanks. VBR

  • @verybigrifle Funny thing happened today, actually... I found this store with pianos worth over £30,000 pounds in it. The store manager let me play any of them for as long as I wanted... I was there for about 2 hours!! I got to play a Steinway and Sons grand piano worth £32,000!! So I'll probably be going there to play them instead of getting ours tuned. Plus I have my own digital piano anyway.. Yeah it's both money issues and no-one close that can tune pianos... oh well!

  • @Chris246t8kr Glad you found piano's to play. YEs they are expensive to maintain. I have a Steinway, Yamaha disklavier and a 9 ft Baldwin concert grand. Once a year is all I tune them. If played a lot every 6 months is recommended. It costs with a discount if I tune ALL at same time about $375 US....I don't even play that much or very well even :-) BUt I OWN THEM hahahaha OUR Steinway and Yamaha dealer a mile from me is closing doors after 38 years. DIVORCE...THanks and play well. VBR
