I like to think that the Metal Coat you find on Memorial Island may have belonged to that guy next to the memorial. He may have planned to evolve his Onix into a Steelix using it, but Tectonix died before he could find someone to trade with. As a result he grew so disheartened after his beloved Pokemon's death, he threw his Metal Coat away in sadness.

What pisses me off about pokemon is that without any type of help, a pokemon that is attacked horribly manages to still cling for life with that damn little red bar at the verrrrry end of it's hp and your attacks keep missing which gives punk-ass Lance a chance to use a full restore on his gadamn Dragonite.

I taught a smeargle tofly. Here's how:

Go to a DOUBLE trainer battle. Skip Smeargle's turn. then use fly with the other pokemon. Oncefly hits, use sketch on your pokemon that knows fly. I did this in Emerald with Smeargle and Rayquaza.
