One of the most prolific songwriters and an actual composer in his own right. The great music from baseball movie The Natural is Randy Newman's also. I believe he is the nephew of legendary Hollywood composer and score writer; Alfred Newman (No relation to the MAD magazine dude!)

I found an album in the 49 cent bin in the late eighties called simply "Etta James" with this and other songs by Randy Newman. Her rendition of "Sail Away" is just as awesome, so if you ever run across it, buy it. You won't be sorry.
