  • By the way : for desalinating 1000 gallons of seawater 14 kw of electric energy are used!

    And depending on the region/location on earth one meter of ground receives 1000-1500 watts of heat!

    Converting that into electricity through a photovoltaic cell at a 20% efficiency results in a 70 square meters covered with solar cells and you'll have 1000 gallons of water in about one hour IF the sky is clear and plenty of sun!

    The water scarcity zones have A LOT OF SUN AND LAND so it will work 100%!

  • @brwneyedgrl1989 I ABSOLUTELY agree. The idea behind the video is all good, but the execution seems so cheap that most people will unfortunately just never even take it seriously.
