So why not just bulid loads of these around the world in famine areas. The world can be easly fed using hydroponics, solar stills & structures like this. USA spending 3 trillion dollars on war, could of instead started creating a utopian country. Harvesting free energy, ultimatly making the money system obsolete
This is a great project... very dangerous to elitism and fractional reserve banking (debt consolidating central planning schemes). This project should be about independent energies and wholistic economics practices via permaculture at home.... using geodesic domes does help with free air exchange, photosynthesis, and prevents wind damage.... the cherokee use to build dome with tree fodder and palms which would keep them cool and safe from hurricane foce winds.... time to look back to go forward
@sustainable2012 What the hell are you talking about. It's a set of greenhouses meant to house a variety of plants and educate the public about the role of Flora on the Earth, and remind us how fragile it is. It is a not a socio-economic-politcal statement against capitalism and banking. And what do the Cherokee have to do with this? We should all build domes to protect ourselves from wind? Stop warping things to fit your flawed perception of reality.
Great Place but in the cafe they give you a wooden plank to eat off - it was so funny. We have never seen anything like it - probably being eco-friendly or could'nt be bothered to wash dishes!!! looked like a piece of old floor board.
There is now a lookout point suspended from the top of the very largest dome. I have some footage on youtube of the view of the entire tropical biome
watch?v=uDci1pzMZS4 if you're interested in seeing the view from the platform at over 150 feet above the ground. People look like ants from up there LMAO
LOL, these people want to great mega projects. Study "permaculture", "water harvesting""earth bag homes""$50 underground homes""papercrete homes""back to nature" google and Youtube keywords. Self sufficiency, cheaply grow a self perpetuaing "food forest". One would need no further expenditures for clean organic food or shelter ever again. And with just little work to balanced it all out "Bio gas" and " alcohol can be a gas" "Jordan permaculture"a desert to oasis eliminating salt in soil, cheaply
What a great place the Eden Project is and such a noble enterprise too. Everyone will love a trip to Cornwall and the Eden Project. All the best, Don.
These persons are not looking up, the chemtrails are killing many of the plants they are growing, in nature the plant life is unprotected and fall pray to the chemtrails. Chemtrails are composed of Barium, Aluminium and Celsium dust, you do not have to be a chemist to know that this worldwide terra forming will not merely kill plants, but also all life on earth is effected. Just serach the term Chemtrails or read an artical By The New York Post about terra forming the planet
OMG Yes the Dyson hand dryers are the best. I always use them even when i dont need to use them :) I know its sad but there great! But ive been there about 20 times and its a great experience. Always have exciting things going on. Im going there for Work Experience next year so should be reallllllly good!
its actually a very good piece of engineering, and do u get tropical plants and flowers at the english countryside?? haha NO! and can u find cork tree's and tobacco plants and find out the story behind them? NO!
@cona192 The idea of building a dome is very foolish... Why cant you just breathe God's natural air. If terrorists attack the dome by putting some sarine, nerve or biological gas the millions of people will die in one piece with not air circulation. Natural air cleans up diseases and canned toxic gases. Cmon guys give me a break. There are so many important things to invent. A dome project will be quite useful on the moon but why on earth will anyone be needing canned air for goodness sake.
Go there then make comments I'm 15 and it's actually good there they have dyson handriers, rainforest climates and loads of other werid stuff :). Oh and yeah the gigs there are fantastic.
I absolutely adore The Eden Project... it is a must-see destination that will not leave anyone disappointed. The beauty of the landscape and biodomes really have to been experienced first-hand in order to truly appreciate the visionary genius, dedication and hard work that went into bringing it to life.
Tip: Dont go up on the lookout area in the rainforest Biome, Its BOILING
