I average about 13 miles per gallon: city and highway. The best highway mileage I have gotten (before exhaust) is around 15 mpg. City is more realistically 7 or 8, worse if you are a bit heavy footed. Remember this is the 454 cubic inch 7.4 L engine on a 3/4 ton 2500 frame with 4.10 gear ratios, so your mileage will most likely be better.
really? thats good mileage. my 350 burb only gets about 13-14 highway. i suppose yours has MPI. I have the lame TBI. Yhink my EGR is F'd too, have almost no low RPM power
Actually, I have only been averaging about 10 miles per gallon recently... The best I have ever gotten highway was 16 miles per gallon, and that is after the muffler, before it was even worse.
Do you get 10mpg?

ayy i have a 1993 suburban and will that type of exhaust system and the flowmaster make mine sound that deep and mine is a 350
carlton2big 2 years ago
It will sound deep, but probably not that deep, a lot of the tone is from it being such a high displacement engine.
UndoneHaddock 2 years ago
is it any thing i can get to make it sound that deep thou
