i fully appreciate an can understand your viewpoint. however i think our disagreement has alot to do with our personal preferences RE soulful perfomances.

i still stick to my preference of having a genuine none show- offy performance. i prefer a song to be sung where the performer is not over doing the bluesy thing- thereby not making a mockery of the song and not coming over as conceited and making the song a spoof.

@MiSSxEMS i get ur point but i meant that 'blues-ing up' a song is something Christina Aguilera does to songs to much when shes trying to show she can sing 'black' lmao and when artits do that it sounds like a spoof of blues lmao and i think black artist do this sometimes too:-D-this creates a song that concentartes on an artist showing off instd of singing the song well..... holdin the notes and twisting and squeezing them for longer than necessary can lead to a a spoofy sound:-D.
