i think ray .was alittle shy . being with little patty on stage .every 17 year old boy in sydney wanted to be in his shoes. i say patty a coogie one time . i still rember it . james
These clips of early 60's Aussie rock are utterly charming! Lil' Pattie was not only a gifted solo performer but she did a FANTASTIC job on duets! MANY thanks for sharing these adorable clips with us! You've MADE my day & my week! :-)
Little Pattie does a great Barry/Greenwich song... but Ray looks like her weird uncle or a frat boy hitting on a high school girl but definitely an all me kind of guy. He has no clue the camera has shifted and his big head is blocking her as she sings. Such a different era. I hope this was a hit for her
Originally recorded by the Ronettes in 1963. Their version was titled "WHY DON'T THEY LET US FALL IN LOVE?" Both songs were written by Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich.

I'm enjoying the heck out of these time capsules of Aussie 1960's rock and roll. I've heard this by The Dixie Cups, and this version is great, too!
