hey this is just something that i came upon while playing guitar.....and im sure many of us here know that where ever you press farther down the fretboard, thats the sound you get, so why dont you try barring the first three strings after playing that E power chord with your index from the start, and just put your middle finger when you you need to instead of doing it later..just some advice :P

I'm so bad at barre chords. I cant seem to keep one of my fingers flat while keeping the others arched so that i dont muffle the other strings. Even if its only a 2 string barre like in this song.

Any tips?

@fiddynuma1 Hey thanks for commenting. Most of the time when I have students that have difficulty in playing bar chords it is because of the wrist position of their fretting hand. First, try to experiment with slightly moving your wrist up and down, you will notice that even the smallest movement greatly affects your fingers ability to do bar chords and arch. Second, make sure the big knuckles at the base of your fingers aren't to far behind or to far in front of the fretboard. :)

I wasn't even expecting you to reply to me.. most of the people who post guitar lessons on youtube don't take the time to do that. I really appreciate it!

@fiddynuma1 hey man i started off with the ukulele, its smaller than the guitar but i still found it hard to bar when i first started playing. i then got better at the ukulele and bought a guitar. it was a lot less difficult to bar! but dont expect to be good at the guitar after you've mastered the ukulele, it takes time and practice, ok!

Put a Capo at the 4th fret and you have a C G Am and F it is easier to sing and the rhythm is what matters, I would go to the site there is good lesson, I would use a capo you can still use the sus chord but it is easier
