  • Maybe you are... Five thumbs down, I suppose conscientious opinion says otherwise... Lets here it though, I'm willing to give anyone a chance... Why, thats the American way.

  • He's a libertarian ideologue who's so obsessed with shrinking the size of government and government spending at all costs that he's willing to advocate insane foreign and defense policy while apologizing for evil monsters throughout the world such as the islamofascists and communists and he routinely demonizes his own country which has turned a large section of right wingers into leftist-esque America hating moral relatavists. And he wants to abolish necessary government agencies. That's why.

  • For example, he routinely compared the islamofascist terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 to the minutemen of the American revolution who were "just responding as we would if Saudi Arabia had an Air Force base in our country", He blames our foreign policy for the global islamofascist jihadist movement rather than islamic ideology. This has had the effect of turning usually patrriotic right wing Americans into anti-American conspiracy theorists and defeatists who want to surrender to terrorists.

  • He also said that he opposed the decision of Thomas Jefferson to create the U.S. Navy for the purpose of liberating the hundreds of thousands of Americans kidnapped and enslaved by the North African jihadist slave empire. He derided the decision by Jefferson to free our own people from slavery as "foreign adventuring". Simply outrageous and a glimpse into how nutty he is. He also wants to abolish the CIA and the Department of Homeland Security cuz he thinks being isolationists will protect us.

  • These are obviously absurd positions to sane people. He purposely misleads people by dramatizing our over seas military bases while calling his own country an "empire" on an almost daily basis. He purposely ignores the obvious fact that these countries want our bases in their countries. For example the Saudis wanted an American Air Force base in their country to help protect them from Saddam who was threatening to invade them and steal their oil. Hardly an evil act on our part.

  • If you believe that the reserve is a necessary government institution then you are mislead. We were fine before 1913 and now we pay taxes that are not represented, taxes that go into private hands. An institution that our founding fathers fought to get away from... The main reason America exists in the first place. We are the Sons of liberty.

  • Indeed he is retracting the defense, but WHY is the most important question. Consider this; America has meddled with nations affairs to suit the lobby, in doing so, un-wittingly supported acts of terrorism in itself against other nations, wrongfully declared war in the first place, and wasted billions in the round-about. If this was another nations conflict on Iraq for the same reasons we have today, it would be illegal and America would put an end to it.

  • In all honesty, you have your opinion, but on the contrary, America has pissed much of the world off. Not it's people, but the leaders in charge of foreign policy. Ideology you say? There ideology is to remove threats from foreign powers they entitle "The jihad." It's solely a defensive position... Yeah it's aggressive defense, but defense none the less. Even your profile is an Obama profile, so I assume you voted for him- didn't he want to pull out? What about the economy? C'mon!

  • Thomas Jefferson himself once said, "Trade with all nations, ally with none." No allies, no enemies, no problems... So don't throw his name into your argument like that. But you are entitled to your own opinion, just as he is. I stand by Ron Paul 100%, his logic makes complete sense if you get in-deep and understand the nature of foreign affairs.

  • I'm sorry, When I said "he is... (entitled to his own opinion) I was referring to Ron Paul... not Thomas Jefferson.

  • There should never be war...period.

  • That's awfully naive, don't you think?

  • No. Actually I don't. I do think, which is why I know that war as a concept is medieval and as primitive as governments. Real liberty is ridding humanity of both.

  • You do know that wars have been fought since prehistoric times?

  • Exactly. That's my point.

  • LOL I know! That is about as honest and ironic as it gets.

  • Thank god for you teewillis1981! War is primitive and pointless... But only to those that understand the machine itself or do not capitalize human expenditures.

  • THIS is my Prez! Ty for the vid!

  • Ron Paul is a shining beckon of hope within whats left of the republic
