@SileDevil Traktor feels very similar to vinyl as on my laptop there is only an 8ms latency - not enough to notice really! It's no easier or harder to beatmatch if you are still doing it by ear, although there are a lot of ways to cheat in Traktor if you would rather do it like that.

I just bought traktor scratch pro. I have turntables and will use timecode, but was just wonderin can you have a setup with an analogue mixer and just use a midi controller to cue and control the decks in traktor.

Yes that's possible. I use a Faderfox DX2 for that. But there are other cheaper controllers. Basically you can use every midi controller for that. Even a midi keyboard will do.

@kevbomb As mentioned, you can do this no problem! Just make sure Traktor is set to 'External' mode in the preferences, then assign your MIDI controller as desired to Traktor's functions! But please, please don't give up on the turntables - that's still the best way to mix.. :)

Hey man, thanks for the comment! As I have always said, with DJ / production gear just spend as much as you can afford. You always get what you pay for! If you can afford the 32 then get that - you'll use the extra channel one day and you'll be glad you got it! Otherwise, just get the 22 if you need the cash or cant afford the 32 - it's still a quality bit of kit!

I've never used the 22 man but every A&H mixer I've used has been of excellent quality! Personally, I would choose A&H over Pioneer every time - the Pioneers are nice mixers and amazing if you like lots of effects, but the analog filter is really all I need! I use Traktor's FX if I want some...hope that helps!

Thanks for watching man, glad you liked it! Yeah the Nocturn is a great bit of kit...although at the moment I am using it mainly for production and using the Korg NanoKontrol I bought for Traktor. It works really well.

I always use the advanced FX, I don't really need any more than that! Just have one set for each deck that I can switch from my controller. Cheers man! :)

For the last bit I'm just using the delay from T3 in TSP and using the MIDI controller to get the feedback up quite high and fiddle with the delay time. Make sure it's not set to sync to the BPM.. ;)
