I must admit, I am a 49 year old male who has always listened to rock and roll and not country. But I must say, having just discovered these old clips of Dolly that she has the most beautiful face and voice I think I have ever seen and heard. She is just so cute, you just want to hug here and never let go.
How CUTE!! .. Now I remember this Dolly ..when I was 7 years old .. And I finally got to see her live in concert November 7th of 2004.what a TREAT!! I laughed I cried, I screamed .... She is SO AWSOME!!!!
I think Dolly shows that she enjoys what she's doing here, before the rigors and stresses of the business got to her, not to mention the nonseness that Porter put her through.
This and "I'll Always Love You" are my favorite songs of all time... I mean listen, "'cos oil is well that ends well..." It's priceless... She's the greatest female singer of all time... Many kudos on the video!
This song is called "I'll Oilwells Love You." It is written by Dolly and is from the 1968 RCA album "Just Because I'm A Woman." It was her first solo release for RCA and can be seen in Porter's hand as he introduces her.
I don't really care what you or he said the song is credited to her and Uncle Bill so technically I was right and you were too. This is listed as such on the album and on her official website [which is located under the music section where you can click on the photo of the album then get the song lyrics and songwriters' names for every song in case you want to look]. She also mentioned that she wrote the song on the Kenny & Dolly HBO special "Real Love" in 1985.

Pure country, as it should be today. Dolly may be one of the best songwriters/singers that's come out of Tennessee.
