I think the problem Jason had with Metallica was, they wouldn't use most of his ideas for the band, yet wouldn't allow him to write music outside of Metallica either. Plus just a general disrespect

I saw echo brain a few years back... They're actually very good for a self-manged, jamming band. I still love and respect Jason. Hell, I'd probably do the same thing he did, but alot sooner.

It's a whole different story about other members of Metallica, they had childhood problems, so the music was their way to escape from them. Lars' father was a very strong and famous tennis player in his small country Denmark, so he had a psychologic problem to be a child of a famous person. James' mother was too much religious and put all that on her son, too. And Kirks' father used to drink a lot and then beat his mother. So music was their escape. While Jason just wanted to have fun.

@rocksta90 st anger actually isnt that bad of a album.. if you listen through it in one sitting it is actually a great album... the riffs are so heavy and ok yes lars should have closed his snar but for there attempt at makin a drop c album it is fantatic. frantic, st anger, dirty window, shoot me again, invisible kid are all great tracks.... not my favorite album no i personally perfer ...and justive for all and kill em all but still a good album

Not only has Metallica blown balls in concert for years upon years, and I'm not getting into the crap that is their cds, Echobrain is a refreshing fun band. Being in a band is about having fun, not whether your great or not. Seems like Jason just wanted to have a lighter mooded party.

Jason loved Metallica, but James didn´t respect him, he can´t accept his wish to play sometimes without Metallica with his friends... Jason loved metallica very much, and left the band, because of conflicts with James, and his bigheadness... I love Metallica and James, because James is best rhythm guitarist and great vocalist, but Jason i like too... Stop throwing shit on him...
